I doubt anyone would buy a season ticket based solely on takeover rumours, but as our friends at Tesco say, 'every little helps.'
As the leaked Ian Ross emails proved, this board goes to great lengths to mislead the fans, which it why it seems more than a little suspicious when takeover rumours surface around the same time every year.
Looks like the Peoples Group have piped up again in the press with a statement today, not entirely sure what that's all about

Well if Ian Ross reckons Bill mislead the fans, then this unsubstantiated rumor that's come from nowhere with not so much as a link, must clearly be a Kenwright conspiracy to get us to buy season tickets..
Personally I don't think it seems suspicious at all, every year people just make s**t up about takeovers, buying and selling players and the future of Everton. Why? No idea, but how many itk's do we get each summer that actually know nothing?
I'd be more inclined to agree with you if we weren't talking about a board which is headed by one of the most prolific liars in world football.
40mil and Moyes would likely see us battle evenly for 4th for a season as Moyes would inevitably buy better than those around him, as he does every year, we'd need to spend the same year on year for a while though if we wanted to stay thereabouts and it would still be a tough fight with any one of 4 or 5 teams getting that 4th spot.
If Moyes could persuade his current bunch of players(the best he's ever had...his words) to finish off teams who have no right to ever be in touching distance of drawing with or beating us, and if the same Moyes would not continually coach all the goals out of his strikers, and if he would not use as his main second half tactic 'defend desperately ' we could save £40 million and still be in with a better shout than we are now of fourth place.
