There running costs are higher being where they are too.

As for 1999 to 2013 comparisons then we have had a multiple of 3.9 increase (£22 million v £86 million) but Arsenals is a muliple of 5.9 (£41 million v £243 million).

It'd be very interesting to see the multiples with the TV money taken out.

Without talking about the super rich investing can anybody explain why there hasnt been a ground move/improvement in all this time?

An excellent ground move was lined up but at the last minute some ringfenced money disappeared. Some people blame Kenwright for that but just one of those things really.

But besides the council not doing anything to help us why has nothing else happened?
Well besides the glorious stadium in Kirkby

Sorry, but thats a cop out, I'm disappointed in you. You are implying that balance sheets tell the whole story. Your implication that I'm lying is also beneath you pal, try to keep your self respect. Still waiting to find a club that has 'taken a punt' and had more relative success than Everton. Sorry, mods that I have to reply in this way. Not having it suggested that I am lying by anyone.

You quoted turnover in 1999 and told me, yes told me, to use Google. I took those figures are genuine and true.

I used Google to get the turnover for 2013 and you didnt like that and questioned it.

I dont take to kindly to your attempt to bully either.

Very obviously facts as taken from the 2013 accounts of both ours and Arsenals, maybe you didnt read the post.

I took the 1999 figures as being facts too and lifted from your post. Unless you were lying that is.

Lads, the tone in these posts isn't a debate, it's a row.

Can we discuss rather than fight? It's easier to read if a point is debated calmly.

You missed this quote which introduced turnover to the thread and then dissed by the same poster!

In 1999 Arsenals turnover was almost £41 million. Evertons was just over £22 million. Almost double, and in London as well. Hardly a standing start !. Have a look at Toffeeweb...Financial Information 'Why the banks won't lend Bill money to buy Everton'
Hardly a level playing field even then was it ?
There is also a very interesting story on line about 'How Arsenal got their money'. Have a little google and you'll find it. Its interesting that the bedrock of their income was based on PLAYER SALES.....an absolute no no as far as Evertons usual suspects are concerned.

I guess its difficult to keep up with Coventry Derby Bolton etc those giants of the modern game

I think I am right in saying that the CEO of Derby expects that they will have a £115 million turnover if they get promoted as stated in an interview to BBC Sport.
