Arsenal? Cash rich owners. Able to invest in very expensive new stadium. Able to sell old stadium in prime London area . Very careful in the transfer market (the usual suspects wouldn't like that). Probably the most expensive seats in the league. They hardly 'took a punt'. Clubs that have invested(primarily in players) due to having rich-ish owners...Stoke, Villa, Norwich, Newcastle, Sunderland,etc.etc....all clubs the usual suspects say are 'outspending Everton'...were are they ?

Yeah, remember Dein at the time saying he would have given his right arm to be offered a deal like the Kings Dock terms offered to Kenwright (or our board if you prefer). They actually had to near fully fund their nice new stadium and still managed it.

Arsenal owe a hue debt of gratitude to Arsne Wenger who for many a season unearthed young talented (often french) footballers for a pittance and sold on at enormous profit,more often than not o having a negative net spend on transfers, couple that with the prime residential land that highbury sat on that they sold for mega bucks,plus the extortionate admission prices they charge,then it should come as no surprise that Arsenal are a wealthy club. (negative net spend ) get it ?
Arsenal to their credit were the only real challengers to man utd for many a year, until Chelsea and City appeared on the scene, with their unlimited budgets. The sort of budget we need.
