Lerner did a million times more for villa than kenwright has done for us, martin oniell fecked them over with a hufmge spending spree on gash, and jumping ship ala rednapp style when he got told to fix his mess

I know people say look at Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa etc. To me those clubs have had available finance given to the managers yet the managers were not up to it. We have had Moyes and now Martinez who are very shrewd managers and they alone are the reason why we are in a better position than the others mentioned. Can you imagine if Moyes or especially RM had the backing that Lerner gave Villa. Our board has not backed our managers near enough with finances and should be ashamed of themselves. The only plus for the board is that they will give time to managers other than that they are pathetic.

If Kenwright had supported Moyes with £200m and seen us set up as negative as we were, he would have sacked him - no doubt. Moyes needed Kenwright as an excuse and Kenwright because of his inept ownership needed Moyes to play his percentage football to make out as though we were doing great.
That whole process brainwashed a generation or two of Evertonians who now think we are some sort of Fulham, Sunderland etc who can only dream of winning leagues and trophies.
He's brought Martinez in, fair play. I hope Martinez isn't as easily bought as Moyes was. Moyes sold his ambitions for £70k a week.
