What do people want from Bill? It seems as though some think the finances of a club are all about the net trasfer amount when they really aren't. The club isn't making the sort of profit that would warrant heavy investment in it so why do people expect the club to be able to afford any new shiny toys?

The board is doing a decent job. What do people want? A mickey mouse millionare who's gonna saddle the club with debt he can't afford and then leave us in trouble he can't take us out of?

Our way is basically working. We're coming 4th behind 2 traditional big clubs and 2 billionare toys. Either we compete using smarts like we have been or we go the villa route, I know what I'd prefer

One thing I would like to see improve is the marketing/commercial side of things. Perhaps an american can come in and sort that out. There's no reason why we make such a dismal amount of money even in comparison to clubs that can't match us on the pitch.

Like John Moores did?

As for our way working, BK has had to beg the banks not to kill us as we've been nearly bankrupt a few times.

A business plan. One that will grow the commercial incomes which are the main cause for concern year-on-year in the accounts and is the sole responsibility of the board.

A clear statement of intent regarding the stadium issue that acknowledges all options from redevelopment to a new location and ensure the decision is viable and in the best long term interests of the Club.

I think most people would actually put aside investment if it meant an injection of real talent in the day-to-day and long term planning of the Club.

[QUOfoot Long Hot Dog, post: 2725179, member: 14422"]The one gaping hole in your theory is the simple fact, that despite their 'snouts' being in your metaphorical trough for a good few years now, they've not managed to swallow a morsel to date.

Nothing has been 'sold' baring the old training ground btw.[/QUOTE]
They haven't managed to contribute anything either. Everything gone into the club has been through trading players, tv money and asset stripping, so with a more or less guarantee of profit on initial investment, the business model isn't hard to identify.

It's always a simple one for me. Look at each sides motives.

KEIOC/BU - what will they gain from producing the information they do? What's their end game?

The board - What do they gain from the info they put out? What's their end game?

Only one side is looking to walk away with millions for themselves. I know who I trust.

That's indisputable, they've not had the ability or the wherewithal to invest their own capital and it's the major reason why they should stand aside.

That's my opinion on the matter.
Some people like to defend the indefensible, though.

Kenwright's "24/7 search" has always been bollocks. Him trying to find a buyer for us basically consists of him sitting in his London Office and waiting to see if some Sheikh or Yank rings to make an enquiry. And, if by a miracle's chance anyone ever does ring, he scares them off with all his demands.

The line that he came out with, "no one is buying football clubs right now" was a downright lie and it's not the first time he's done so. Just excuses as to why he's failed so miserably to take the club forward off the pitch.

He's an Evertonian who loves this club and loves the supporters. I don't doubt that for a second. He's not a businessman though and should not be running a football club. He should hand over the responsibility of trying to find investment to a professional and return to the stands with the rest of us, where a true supporter belongs.

Had a look at Green's wikipedia page. What a lovely man. Here are a couple of his gems:

"He can't read English. Mind you, he is a [Poor language removed] Irishman."

"Even an Irishman like Paul Murphy ought to be able to understand that."

On top of his racist comments he also has a history of questionable business practices, including his dubious relationship with ourselves. I don't think this is the kind of character who we should want to be associated with our club.

If he was willing to invest money i wouldn't be arsed.

You can edit wikipedia,as many do.

Yes, and provide sources. Those are his words and his companies have been involved in tax avoidance and worker's rights controversies. These things are all on the record. I don't know why you're trying to make it look like they're made up or something.

Being pedantic but it's not racism mate

He is an utter weapon and an odious little [Poor language removed] though who I don't want anywhere near our club
