Well I think if you are not willing to give him credit for the stability the club has enjoyed and picking out two excellent managers and giving certainly one of them the time he needed to implement his style then you wont be giving him credit at all. I think its sad that people are perfectly happy to point out the negatives of Kenwright but shy away from paying him any compliment for when he's got it right. I'm not calling him a genius, I just think he deserves more than what he gets from ungrateful and shortsighted supporters.

His only actual positives in his whole tenure have been to appoint 2 managers who have steadied the ship and more.

Please don't try and cloud the issue by over stressing that point and using it as a platform to spin his actual achievements, as beyond that there is nothing else.

If you are suggesting he has brought financial stability I suggest you go for a check up.

So you think he should hold back the future of the club on the basis that his needs come first?
Who said he'd be holding us back? The current strategy works very well for us without huge investment. Add real financial clout to the equation with Bill orchestrating things and I think we could only go forward.

What analogy! I was just sympathizing with Bills dilemma.

BTW, It's a midnight blue ford orion J reg 140,000 on the clock. looking for 19 grand

I'll give you £40k for it, but only if you put another 10,000 miles on the clock

OK, is dislike a better word? Either way you seem to not be willing to give any credit at all to the job he's done, surely you can at least admit he's moved us on from where we were? I think if you learn to appreciate that you'll give him more time and understanding.

No mate, it,s not personal, It,s about the club and part of that process is understanding when you need change. Bills legacey is for him to mull over from my perspective the last time I saw us win silverware was in the same 100+ Year football ground before this owner and board showed up. Since then this league has seen money flow through it like never before, i am still sitting in the same ground waiting for silverware and watching good players get sold, a stadium get older with each and every passing year for the last 15 years.

We're relatively stable financially

I mean, we're not going out of business any time soon

We have little to spend of course

Have we not got a new training ground that's state of the art? Have we been put in administration? Has the club not made real progress on a consistent basis?

I think he's earned the right to do so, having steered the club from near relegation to European football and consistent top 7 finishes. Don't you?

Any achievements have been inspite of Kenwright not because of him. Unless he has taken team talks, training sessions, scouted players etc

From a business perspective we have been mismanaged and he has failed to provide the club with its biggest ever opportunity - the Kings dock stadium. Following on from that he led us down the garden path to try and get a portacabin built in Kirby. Not going to go into the fortress fund lies, NTL deal failure, sales of players and assets to keep the club from going under whilst that lot sit on the bvoard without investing a penny of their money aside from shares.

In short the man is out of his depth and occasionally turns on the salesman charm in order to get a few blues to fall for his teary eyed stories.

Some people see a lovely, innocent man who remortgaged his house and eats beans on toast because he loves Everton, I see an egotistical liar who overrates his ability to talk.

You,ve just said yourself Bill should be entitled to wait for a blank cheque, no business man in his right mind will give him that becuase what he is selling has a value only to the buyer. See my post further up about his legacey.

1. We rent the training ground mate, he sold our actual one.

2. No we have not been put into administration, is that actually a badge of honour? as neither have have around 80 of the 92 or however many there are league clubs.

3. See my original point about the managers, of which I have already said he has to take some of the credit, but not all!
