@Sharpys top lip as fat head azul says, we are sailing along on the crest of two seemingly excellent appointments, and part luck and part excellent transfer work, we tread a fine line between success and failure for our club, we float between 4th and 7th without serious investment and have done for as long as I can recall, post Moyes of course.

I genuinely think one of two things

1. You can't have a fan as a chairmen who can't let go of the club he loves because of the seemingly poor ownership deals he has seen

2. Won't sell because he wants too much, this one I don't believe, purely because dealing with billionaires and investment isn't a short term return, it's down to the shadowy characters who want a bigger return for the menial investments. None of which is their own cash.

It boils down to money, until investment comes in the form of part ownership then Bill will NEVER sell his majority share.

Bill doesn't have a majority share, he only owns around 27%

Who do you want us to sell? Barkley, Coleman or Baines?

None of the above would be lovely.

I dont mean from sales, I mean from previous sales, up until around 2008 Moyes was given every single penny from sales and whilst that wasnt perfect, it was acceptable, then OOC increased, TV money increased and our Net spend became perma negative, I just wanna see our manager spend our money and if he cant, I would like to know where that money went.

didnt know that.anyone know who owns the rest.
bill has done great to keep us in the top 6 consistantly.
pretty sure he doesnt want to do a h/gill never mind a fsg.
with all this new money flying around now i would at least expect a 50mill influx next season.
keeping us in the top flight is not easy but hopefully roberto can influence him on the benefits of expenditure more than david could.
falling below our fifth position this season would be catastrophic and for that we need some major purchases.

Nothing to do withe the players and managers then?

I really can't see us being as tight as we have been in recent seasons though, everyone knows there should be a fair few quid to spend, any bollocks this time around and Bill wont have no-where to hide

We all hope this is the case.

Lets hope the reality matches our dreams for once.

pretty sure he appointed the managers.
and supplied the money for the players.
And just how much money has he supplied for the players?

Moyes could only buy players with money he got from selling his best players and then didn't get all of that, not even a penny from the Arteta sale. Our net spend is negative.

Kenwright and the board have not put any money into the club.

I'm in two minds over Bill coz of something Mout said before, at first when Moyes showed a bit of promise he was given every penny he made from sales, which was quite a lot for us considering the money we got from Rooney and Lescott, but coz Moyes failed to improve us and we failed miserably in Europe i think this might have been the reason for the purse strings to tighten.

I think now though with Roberto being a much better manager i'm hoping he's going to get all the backing Moyes got and then some

His main attribute is that he is not a psycho like Vincent Tan (and his ability to pick managers), he hasn't got the money to put into the club. His bank account could buy that much, if Aston villa is sold to a good owner willing to invest in the team without trying to destroy it's heritage or run the club from behind the scenes that will determine my thoughts on him cause he's better than turning in to Blackburn or Leeds by a long way. On the other hand Great signings is what has kept the club moving forward not Bill, he's just a lucky [Poor language removed] taking all the credit when it could of so easily gone the other way round
