The Everton Board Thread

Nope, they are far far worse than some of the boards in the Conference! This shower have bit by bit dismantled and destroyed Everton Football Club and everything it once stood for over the last god knows how many years!
It’s an absolute disgrace what they have done, whilst lining their own pockets !
It’s all down to one man!! Kenwright.

He picked the owner that suited himself not the football club.
He picked the CEO

He is the reason we are here, all the others have played their part but he selected them to be here..

Kenwright is the cancer that’s killing this club slowly

Don’t see how the board survive this tbh, but we’re a basket case so who knows what’s gonna happen. I’m almost done with this club, it’s absolutely sucked the living daylights out of me and I have no interest in watch Tom Davies get absolutely mauled at home by Plymouth Argyle.

This thread says it all to me....

...a complete mess of finger pointing and in-fighting and confusion as to what has to happen. As if Moshiri hasn't been the central agent in the demise of this club. Others know acknowledge it too and are prepared to go beyond the board-fixated analysis.

I mean he’s not wrong, but neither are you. There is much to untangle from this mess.

He has Dave, nobody is denying that and if the club was sold tomorrow 99% of the fanbase would be happy. But we know you can't force a sale, hes not based in England, doesn't attend games and is only concerned with the Stadium

The board are the day to operational leads, they set the culture, they are front and centre with daily decisions on driving the business forward. The CEO, for example, allowing us to go a full year without a sleeve sponsor and back tracking on "gambling sponsors" because she was incapable of negotiating a better deal. Its failure on a monumental bases.

The board is a cabal, it needs breaking. Its as clear as day to the majority of us

Cos that's where it all starts.

He doesn't have competence at board level
They've employed the wrong people.
They haven't had the backbone to stick with a plan.
They've never had a long term plan.
They sure as hell won't have a plan for the championship.

Bottom line is on the pitch, the starting 11 needs a complete overhaul. And as painful as that is, due to our financials, we need to drop a division or divisions for that to happen and work.

It's simple to me: who;s had the power in the last 7 years? The power to hire and fire and agree recruitment of players?

Moshiri.

The board have been puppets for 7 years.

Moshiri is where it starts and ends. Which is why it's been bizarre seeing this organisation almost leave Moshiri aside while attacking a puppet regime who've been making no major decisions on anything important: hiring and firing of managers and DoFs and the stadium - all Moshiri's domain.

But he's to be pleaded with to make the right choices over a new board that they want?!

FFS it's beyond belief.

I won’t disagree with that at all. The way the club has been run in the last 7 years has been nothing sort of shambolic, reminiscent of Leeds under Ridsdale. The malaise however has been there for much longer, just accelerated the decline by finding a biff who was happy to see his money spunked away.

Under Kenwright the club were staggering along financially but good recruitment in the shape of Moyes kept us more than safe. As said, under Martinez we were in no trouble.

I dont accept we were accelerating into decline prior to Moshiri. But under him that is exactly what's happened.

Don't mean to sound defeatist, but as a realist, I think we're gone.
It seems quite likely that come the Bournemouth game, the fight may well be lost.
If that is the case we must muster up the biggest demonstration possible. Not sure how it should look, but it has to be massive.

Mainly because it's gonna be difficult to force out a feller who's sunk £700mill of his own money into the club.

It's reasoning with a man who has the codes to nuclear weapons. And you can't get the codes off him you can only persuade him to do the right things.
