I reckon we’d get £30-35 for Pickford, £50 for Onana, who knows with Calvert-Lewin and the others- maybe a combined £40 million.
It’s really wages that are crippling us. If those players were sold along with the other out of contract big earners- Townsend, Doucoure, Coleman, Davies- that would be around an eye watering 700k a week, or £35 million a year. That’s £150 million saved. Other relegated teams haven’t been able to generate those kinds of transfer fees. For example Burnley lost Mee and Tarkowski on frees as their contracts had expired, and had no players that champions league clubs would want. Thats why, although we would be financially hammered by relegation, we’ve got players like Onana who will attract interest from several champions league teams, meaning we can get a good fee. The idea that we’ll be selling cheaply only applies to players where there is little interest- e.g. Holgate, Keane.
