Apart from some so-called journalists re-hashing old stories with no official quotes whatsoever in them, it's all gone very, very quiet on the topic of the Everton board and potential investment. There's been nothing at all to suggest American investment is imminent, or that some of our board members are about to resign or be fired.

Wondering if the price is set on what division we will be playing in and that's why?

Sharp is the best back to goal no9 I have seen in my 60 years watching Everton but his positioning on this Board will not be forgotten by many fans. To say ‘Evertonians will always respect him’ is not only grossly inaccurate, it’s a bit ignorant.

I agree, it wont be, what is either forgotten or ignored by many is what he did on the field, what really counts. Sharp is just being caught up with everything that has gone wrong over the last few years, none of this is actually his fault.

….there are different levels of accountability & this board have to take a chunk of the blame for grossly mismanaging the club. They are culpable, there is no doubt about that.

Graham Sharp doesn't have to do anything to build bridges, there is a giant image of him on the main stand for a reason, that's stronger than any bridge will ever be.

Graeme Sharp had a moreorless legend status with the fans but he has severely tarnished that status and his involvement in this mess will always be remembered and not fondly. The one man and his dog statement made that legend status disappear for me and he hasn't helped himself since.

Yeah but like a few on here i have the advantage of seeing him play, i had season tickets in the seasons when he was winning trophies, Everton do have a lot of match going fans who are under 40, possibly most of them really, I judge him on that.

I would say it was an action. He ridiculed a protest by Everton fans and therefore showed no interest in what Everton fans thought. Basically a FU you are only fans

“One man and his dog ……..”, presumably someone/Kenwright forced him to come out with that rubbish?
He spoilt the reputation he had when he came out with that dross!
Best thing he could have done was resign, and say he didn’t agree with the direction the club was being taken, when it really started to go bad!

Forced ? these people, including reporters in the press are responsible for their own actions, they say what they want and write what they want, nobody forces them

Anybody else 40 or under shouldn't care about Sharp one bit. Yes appreciate he played for us when we were good, but nobody of that age has a personal experience of having seen him play or can appreciate how good he was from watching him first hand.

Must've been awful when they put that gun to his head and forced him to sit on the board
