And yet somehow alot of RS don't like there owners, but you are right they for me would be the exception to the rule. Speaking of the RS tho, on the other side look at Gillete and Hicks has there ever been two bigger clowns??

I for one loved them clowns!
Weren’t Arsenal fans up in arms because their owners which they hated wouldn’t sell the majority to Uncle Uzzie? Don’t hear them moaning about that anymore on their big YouTube channels.

Normal clubs blame the owners when there is no-one left to blame, after sacking the manager hasn’t worked. None of them have ever witnessed incompetence of the levels our ownership has shown.

Still don’t see how anyone is imminently buying a £600m asset that could be worth half that in a fortnight. No point announcing a sale conditional on safety. Just don’t announce anything until June.

Dont look like the type of owners that will go out and spend loads of doe, but we just need someone who has a clue.

Come in, steady the ship, make us good enough to atleast compete in this league, see the stadium throurg and go from there.

We are a mess and any chance is welcome

I think we can all be forgiven for being skeptical in these new owners, due to what has ended up happening with Moshiri and Bill.

But, if we look deeper at the facts, I feel we can be a little optimistic about what they would / could do.

Clearly targeting under-performing clubs with the idea of improving them.

Time will tell, but this feels more like what we really need. Stability, and to be self-sustainable.

We can't do that anyway due to how high our wage bill is. The club needs to learn how to operate sustainably and make it's own money. I can't believe it's 2023 and we are still talking about this stuff as it's something that should have been in place 20 years ago!!

I've just woke up to this news. My first thought is Kenwright. Anything that removes that cancerous slug from our club once and for all is more than a good thing.

The club has a lot of healing to do after the Kenwright years and it will be a tough rehab. I can't see 777 coming in with the intention of asset stripping the club for buttons. It doesn't make sense.

We are still a huge club, a major UK city club and an institution of the British game with a global fanbase. We are in the EPL (just) and have an iconic new stadium.

I can see 777 having a remit of getting Everton into a fit and lean state on and off the pitch. They stand to maximize their investment going down this route and this I'm sure, will be their intention.

I'm positive about it all. I just hope that the first game in BMD has Kenwright in stocks in the center circle whilst kids throw baloons full of sloppy turds at his fat head.

Being reported that the 600m takeover will be completed at the beginning of next week
On the condition it seems that we stay up which is far from certain and will very possibly go to the last day so next week takeover is a little bit premature.

Indeed mate.

We are a lesson to anyone in the league of what not to do.

The wage bill has decreased quite a bit in the last year or two though, and should go down significantly again next season ( even if we stay in this league )

Correct Kind Sir.

How does it work if 777 do buy Everton with player transfers between clubs they own.. eg can we sell Tom Davies to hertha berlin for 100m? Or but a player from another club for a pound?

I know they are extremes but you get the idea

Every player will have a “Book Value”, or something along the lines of that.

So for example, if City decided to sell Haaland in the summer to PSV for £2m, it would raise suspicions, as why so low? Same for if we sold Keane for £200m.

Watford/Udinese have a method for making it work, but even then that’s still quite dodgy.

No I agree Moshiri might actually be one of the all time worst football owners, he just didn't have a clue. I also don't see the point in the story, there is no immenent sale, unless we are safe. We aren't safe so the sale isn't immenent, so why is the story being run? Could be to deflect away from yesterday's news of clubs taking peak action against one and other. All this news really does is to show us as the utterly crazy club we have become.
