Pre season should be sorted then, box off a little tournament v Sevilla, Genoa and Hertha Berlin.

If they're competent in their chosen professions and qualified to do the job such as commercial growth, long term planning, then I'm all for it.

Relegated or not, we simply can't continue with how we've been run the last 20 odd years. It has to stop now once and for all
Correct.......Kind Sir!

This is a good thing IMO. There is some uncertainty around 777 but the current regime has to go. If 777 come in and aren't up to it then pressure has to be applied to them the way it has been to the current regime this season. We simply can't carry on with the current regime.

FWIW I think it's too early to judge how well 777 are doing with their other clubs. Hertha have been a basket case for years, there's no way they are to blame for what's going on there. At Sevilla they have a 15% stake and at present not much influence, they have formed an alliance with one of the major shareholders who is currently not president at the club. Genoa on their way back to Serie A in their first full season. Simply too early to judge them.

Not sure I see how this is a better situation than what we had previous. So basically instead of being run by moshiri with usmanov in the background helping to fund. We potentially now could be run by one of these American firms who suck all the profit out of the club like the glazers.

Yes Moshiri made some pretty bad decisions on the way. But one can't detract from his willingness to invest money in the team. Personally I don't like these American takeovers, there is a reason man utd want the glazers out.

To Read that this 777 firm also have stakes in genoa, vasco da gama etc doesn't exactly whet the appetite either.
Doesn't fill me with confidence either, Moshiri is just dumping and running as fast as he can he doesn't care where we land and something doesn't feel right about 777

Have to admire the gumption of any potential investors and profit in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad motive.

With the initial outlay and state of the club, nobody is going to be making ROI on Everton for some time.

I don't think $$$ forms any immediate motivation in investing in the club but if it can be achieved longer-term, then anyone who turns the club around to that extent deserves something in return.

One would hope that money would be reinvested into the club of course, and that would be critical.

We would just have to see how any deal is structured and what their level of commitment is.

777 Partners have Genoa, Herhta Berlin, Standard Liege, Red Star (Paris, and Vasco da Gama under there ownership.

They seem to be buying up old clubs with strong fan bases and good potential ROI.

If they know what they are doing nd put the right people in place they could make Everton work.

The minority investment scenario makes no sense to me at all. Why would a group invest tens of millions of pounds to have a minority stake and not be able to control strategic decision making. Commercially, I don't get it, and that's why I find it very hard to believe MSP are the most likely investors.

Time will tell, but my gut instinct says that Moshiri probably wants out. He isn't looking for an investor, he is looking for a buyer.

The idea that all we need is a new investor to help the current leadership, is also total nonsense. We need a full buy out and a total change of leadership and direction. You don't get that from a new investor acquiring a small stake.

I like the notion of whomever takes over seems to involved with other clubs which I feel a feeder system would benefit the clubs future attempts at growth. which it's imperative in my mind that it be a full takeover, no partial investment as the clown show will continue even if reigned in by new partners

Is Myers actually privy to detailed club info? In the past it seemed like he would just regurgitate what was already circulating in the rumor sphere with no real knowledge but just had a proclivity to insert himself into the conversation. It seems this season he might be more clued in but I'm still dubious reharding the accuracy of his claims
