The Everton Board Thread

Thank God its these fellas.

I can finally get rid of this Everton monkey off my back and accept that we will be asset stripped by these utterly clueless Yank clowns.
Do you prefer to get your assets stripped by a charming theater producer who enchants you with rousing nostalgic tales of his boyhood passion for Everton? Yanks have a mixed record in the premier league but if they run the club like fsg for the red scum or kroenke at arsenal id be content i know theres been gripes with both the fan bases , but those clubs have invested in the squad and produced results on and off the pitch also even though they have yo-yoed Khan has fully supported fulham financially, I get why it's easy to generalize when they're some clueless yank owners like boehy or just vulture capitalists vultures like the glaziers those types exist regardless of nationality , I mean the current and past ownerships have been asinine and disastrous. I get you're a snobbish gatekeeper for football and loathe the colonists but even as an American I have no partiality to US investors. I just try to look at each prospective buyer on a case by case basis and maybe im just swayed by thought of moshiri and kenwright kicking rocks and severing their corrosive influence upon this club

They are American, they still think everybody carrying guns is a good idea.

Be very concerned.

The thing is with these lot, and everyone else frankly, is a blind man could see the potential value in Everton with how other clubs are being valued. After the stadium is built and if we're even only a mid table team, we're easily worth £1b in today's market. Look at Spurs, they're probably worth £1.5-£2b themselves quite easily and all they are is a decently run club in London, nothing special at all.

This crowd knows that they'll likely be able to come in for £600m, if they wanted, spend another £250m on transfers and all that over a period and still make an incredible profit come the end of it if they wanted, obviously on the basis of making us a success.

Frankly, Moshiri (really Usmanov) and that parasite Kenwright ran us as a toy, they didn't care about the wider implications, we desperately need to be run like a business, again like Spurs. They're not gonna come in here to asset strip or watch us decline further, it would make no financial sense. They'll probably bin off everyone but Thelwell and probably give him mostly free will on the footballing side of the club, which is exactly what should be happening, it'll put an end to that fathead Kenwright trying to involved himself in all the deals or someone like Moshiri who's clueless about football just throwing money at a problem.

Survive this season is the aim for now of course, next season we can hopefully at least spend a little bit of money, get the key positions where Dyche is confident of a 12th or so finish, then modestly build year after year. The club is desperate for stability, I personally think Dyche and Thelwell are ideal to give us that if they're allowed to get on with their jobs, which they haven't so far under the current regime. Dyche took Burnley to Europe and Thelwell was instrumental in Wolves becoming a stable PL club again, are they the best people in the world for the jobs, no of course not but in my eyes their real tasks start now under new ownership.

Next season on will be the first time they've not had to do their jobs with one hand behind their back, judge them on that going forward. Again maybe I'm just being an optimist but Everton with Moshiri, Kenwright and the rest not only excite me but fills me with hope that we can gain some consistency for the first time in a decade+, 777 will have my utmost backing from day one if they come in and clear this virus that currently festers in the management structure of this club.

I just want Everton to have a feeder team under the same ownership as thats the only way we're going to be able to purge the football blemish known as Micheal Keane from this club. .

One had great times, one was set up for a huge buyout due to the good finances.

Now both state owned, must be terrible to be them.

Saudi's wanted Newcastle because Staverly has been trying to get her hands on the club for years - Newcastle were a basketcase of a club when they came in - bottom 3, fans at war with the board, bang average squad - sound familiar ?

I like Farhad but I'll lose respect for him if he sells us down the creek to these chancers. I know he's spent a lot of dough and he isn't an Evertonian so he doesn't owe us anything but still - I would like to think that he will hand us over to a custodian who'll have the pashun, desire and deep pockets to have us going toe to toe with the likes of City, RS and eventually Newcastle rather than being another midtable US owned club fighting for 10th-13th every season.

So you don't care if the club is properly run just that abundant amounts of money are spent? Unfortunately due to the guy you like, who was incredibly inept, our finances are so shambolic we won't be able to spend unless we sell the one or two quality players that exist at Everton that would still fetch a substantial fee. Also regarding your concerns about an u.s ownership leading to perpetual mediocrity, dont know if you keep up on current events? We are fighting our second relegation battle after finishing 10th before that, so even if you're correct which time and reality has constantly proven that to be highly unlikely, we would be in a better position then then we are currently and last season. You baffle me so much

The key thing with 777 is that they have the level of business savviness that the current clown show could only dream of, and know how to improve commercialisation on their client’s portfolios which could be massive in terms of both getting out of our current mess and getting the sponsors for the stadium we lost with Usmanov
I get Moshiri is an idiot but what evidence is there for any of these things you claim about 777?

They're only two or three years old as an organization.

Where are you getting all this "know how to improve commercialisation on their client’s portfolios which could be massive in terms of both getting out of our current mess and getting the sponsors for the stadium" from?

Where's the evidence of that?

Were a sinking ship so if it aint the lot who run us now then IMO thats a positive.

Will it work out with these or any other new owners? who knows its 50-50 chance it does or doesnt, but i guarantee with this lot we have now it wont! the proofs in the pudding.
