Name me one football club that 777 or MSP have bought into that they have transformed into winners ?

There isn't one. People just see a group of Yanks who have stakes in a few clubs and come to the automatic conclusion that they're top dogs which is naive.

We need top brass investors with mass amounts of money backing them on top of being business savvy.

These cowboys just want to flip us for a few quid down the line they don't want a legacy like Abramovich or Shiekh Mansour have created at Chelsea/Citeh.
Ok, so where are these mega billionaire knights who are coming to rescue us and turn us into the next Man City?

The fact is, if we carry on under the current regime, it’ll likely be curtains for us the way we’re spiralling.

We can’t wait around for a buyer who will probably never show up.

Saudi's wanted Newcastle because Staverly has been trying to get her hands on the club for years - Newcastle were a basketcase of a club when they came in - bottom 3, fans at war with the board, bang average squad - sound familiar ?

I like Farhad but I'll lose respect for him if he sells us down the creek to these chancers. I know he's spent a lot of dough and he isn't an Evertonian so he doesn't owe us anything but still - I would like to think that he will hand us over to a custodian who'll have the pashun, desire and deep pockets to have us going toe to toe with the likes of City, RS and eventually Newcastle rather than being another midtable US owned club fighting for 10th-13th every season.
we just tried that, it didn't work.

Correct!

When something doesnt work in any walk of life or business you change it.
I cant believe we have fans weary of change at the club, look at whats happening in front of our eyes with the current hierarchy.

All the fans saying "you don't need to spend dough to be successful" where were ya'll when we were finishing top 7 under Moyes every season with fantastic player trading ala Brighton but had an owner unwilling to spend that bit extra to push us on?

You (rightly) were calling for Kenwright to go as we needed an owner with money to break the glass ceiling like Newcastle are doing now.

We need someone with dough long term unless you're happy with midtable football for the next 10+ years.

2 poor seasons of relegation scraps shouldn't lower expectations to the point of us being happy to be another Crystal Palace for the rest of our days.

Come on Moshiri walk away from these Yank vultures and find us the buyer to transform us into a powerhouse again !

Are you actually 7 years old? What an absolutely ridiculous block of nonsense.

Name me one club that Farhad Moshiri has transformed into winners.
Using Moshiri as a yard stick for new ownership is hardly a clever thing to do.

Could things get worse under new ownership ? ... of course they could.

Luck plays a big role in football.... we were unlucky because Koeman was simply not up to the job, even though it was an interesting appointment at the time as Koeman had done well at Southampton.

I think Moshiri is a far wiser man now having learned some very difficult lessons and we can never say that he did not put his hand in his pocket to bankroll the manager.

If we can stay in the division and if this FFP question is finally gotten rid of once and for all then the picture looks much more for next season , if only because we appear to have a competent manager in seven or eight year( CA apart obviously).

What do you have in terms of evidence to support this?

Everton are a bargain at the moment but they're a project with a lot of risk involved.
There are plenty of investors out there willing to take a risk on the club which ever division we're in.
Who ever takes control of the club will want it to succeed, not because they love Everton but because they love money.
Everton have been run like a corner shop for 3 decades now. That'll change with who ever invests the kind of money needed to buy the club.
And thats a good thing. Doesn't matter where they're from.
That said. I don't want a Sovereign Wealth fund taking over the club to use for sports washing.

With both MSP / 777, I assume fairly modest growth would be the aim. They leverage risk over multiple investments so it is not all eggs in one basket.

You could double or triple the value of Everton, especially on the back of the new stadium and make a nice return.

But we must absolutely have a model of steady profit on player trading. If football recruitment is as bad as it has been, it will be more of the same.

Get the best people in on that side and let them do their work without interference.

It is really only groups like these that would have a legitimate interest in us right now. The club is a distressed asset from top to bottom.

The best they can do is make us efficient and well-run, on and off the pitch, and bring 5 years of stability and gradual improvement.

Seeing as we have been in decline for three decades and run into the ground since Moshiri took over, it should not be that difficult to engineer improvements in almost every metric.

With competent and prudent management, and if we avoid relegation, I would be cautious but hopeful that better days are ahead.

Moshiri will have zero interest in 'us' he will sell to the highest bidder not who will make us successful again.
