The Everton Board Thread

Hard to get in any way excited by this. Moshiri has shown us over the last 7 years that if there is a wrong decision to be made, he will make it. I’ve absolutely zero faith that if he thinks this is a good deal then it will turn out to be a good deal. He’s the football club owner equivalent of that Simpsons scene with Sideshow Bob standing on rake after rake.

He will certainly dither.

He's put money in the club, bless. Made a pigs ear of everything bar the stadium. (Which I think should have been 60,000 plus).

I don't think there is anything to get exited about. I doubt that we will, have any money for transfers etc. But maybe we will be at least ran with some, sort a sanity. Get the statium finshed and start to look forward.
Worry I have with that is, if we do stay up how do we improve this squad because it’s absolutely last. If we stay up next season we will be gone well by now.

Red Bull seem to do ok

And we can have a Grand Prix connection too
Red Bull do ok. The rest just seem to lose money across the board. That's ok if you're a gulf state or can accept losses like but its not the cheat code FM makes it out to be. Probably worked against Watford over the years.

Is that not the way to operate?

We’re not sustainable at any level to spend big, because we’ll we don’t have the resources.

You’d take us getting turned round and ran like a Brighton or Brentford, and then we can look forward.

We were ran like that under Kenwright/Moyes and fans still protested at the board, flew planes demanding the owner sell up etc.

We have to accept the Goodison faithful dont see Everton in the same light as Brighton/Brentford fans see their clubs. One is a sleeping giant the other two just happy for the PL ride.

Any owner that comes into this club and doesnt spend the dough will be setting themselves up for failure especially when the FFP situation is resolved and fans have dined on steak during the early Moshiri years of large investment and BMD.

Brentford fans will lap up 8th-10th every season and not kick up a fuss if they cant go any further - our fans wont accept that.

Bit of a balls selling in instalments, a clean break with entirely new owners would have FFP advantages no?
