The Everton Board Thread

I'm not sure how an investor that only has 25% shareholding can dictate the direction that the club should go in or who should be on the board ( unless that is part of the contract with Moshiri)
From what I've read MSP will simply be loaning money to enable the completion of the stadium and taking a shareholding as security.
I fail to see how that entitles them to be "running the club"
How many shares does kenwright currently have? He still seems heavily involved in club matters beyond chairman duties

They hold all the aces, Moshiri wants investment so he will have to meet their demands if he wants the investment.
yes they are in a strong position but nobody is going to let a minority shareholder run the club as they wish.

What assets are MSP supposedly going to strip?

Bill already sold off everything to pay his mates back and our squad is worth about £27.50 combined… Not to mention the fact that they are all on contracts that they could only dream of elsewhere.

They’re not.

That’s the whole point. Any one worried about them selling anything off, should relax.

They’re not here for the long term, but they are here to to make some money. Their investment goes through the floor if we get relegated and struggle.

Ground and squad will be managed nicely in my opinion, nothing flash, nothing extreme, but it’ll be steady, something we’re desperate for.

haha only because he cant now, ask yourself why did we only spend 1.8m last summer and nothing in January
Because as the club have pointed out, they were working closely with the league with regard to profit and sustainability controls.

Either the club is telling lies, or the league is.

Once again for those unable to understand..... The object of money laundering is to put 'dirty' money into a legitimate business and withdraw it later at an acceptable loss percentage.

So far, he's put in 3/4rs of a billion in and taken next to nothing out. He's even filled a hole full of wet sand and is building a massive stadium on It. That's not money laundering.

If he had a chain of launderettes, chippy's and pubs I'd believe you. (not that they need to, USM already operates as a legitimate business.)

He may well be, but he's not doing ut through Everton.

Can see why everyone is suspicious though, he’s just doing it through his “accountant”, who happens to be our “owner”.

If you ever get a minute, it’s always worth a quick minute have a look at some of the “gifts” Alisher has given to Moshiri  including the most expensive available property in London  if that’s not laundering, what is?

It's not laundering.

It would be laundering if he paid for it with illicit money, gifted it to Moshiri who later sells it and gives that money back.

In any case, the seller of the property to Usmanov would be the party liable for accepting the money without proof of the source of funds. (something I have to do with every deal.)
