The Everton Board Thread

If we're dealing with competent business people here, and let's assume for arguments sake, we are, then if there is going to be a lead-in time for confirmation, they can be working in the background already.

Maybe 2 to 3 weeks, and hopefully sooner.

With Billy and red lips still in their bunkers I doubt they know season is over.

They're just waiting for the bunkers to be installed at new ground before moving in

The media team are putting the final touches to the video unveiling bill kenwright as our chairman. They are going with the tagline "you thought you could get rid of me? I am Everton!"

Same tbh, but all we’ve heard since the season ended from the manager and all the players involved is “this can’t be allowed to happen again”

Without significant investment in the playing squad, I can 100% tell them now, it is going to happen again.
I disagree. I think we have a competent first 11, maybe good enough to just creep in the top 10. It’s the dramatic fall when some key players drop out of that 11 that’s the problem. We literally have nothing behind them.

Our back up for DCL was Simms and people actually wanted him to play. He wouldn’t get a game for a few clubs in his own age group, never mind their premier league team.

Clever recruitment could see us be comfortably safe this year though, even with limited funds as there’s just a few glaring holes in the squad that need filling and it doesn’t actually need expensive players in ALL those positions.

I reckon if Doucoure didn’t get sent off v Spurs and we’d kept Rondon last year, never mind anyone else, we’d have probably been safe with a couple of weeks to spare. That’s how big the drop off was when DCL was out as Rondon’s not even average now however he’d have “done a job” under Dyche once DCL was unavailable.

The first 30 mins at Wolves, Arsenal, Brighton and even Leicester were an example of what we were capable of once we had a balanced 11 on the pitch.

8 days since the end of the season and still no movement. If there are no big changes by the end of the month, then protests need to carry on right through the summer. We cannot start the season with no structural changes at the top of the club.

SACK THE BOARD
That tells me the board wont go unless they're pushed, if they haven't been pushed its because a takeover is happening which then will inevitably mean they'll be replaced.

I disagree. We have 1 competent CB. Our best fullback is still Seamus Coleman in the year of our lord 2023 and our best hope for a balanced attack is match fit for about 5 games a season.
We can’t rely on worldies to pull us out the mud like the back end of last season, it’s not sustainable. We still don’t have enough goals in the team, even if DCL miraculously plays 30odd games next season.

Kenwright will be fuming. Man city scored the fastest ever goal in the cup final. He will have to take the saha photo down from the Everton timeline around Goodison. Another of his massive achievements from his time in the boardroom. Whats the odds he changes it to the 2nd fastest goal in a cup final. Thats about his level.

“Louis Saha scores the first FA Cup final goal of Bill Kenwright’s chairmanship”
