They provide the loan and then convert the loan into equity at a later date. At least that's my understanding of how it will work. This way the money goes into the club's account rather than into moshiri's account.

Surely it's what role any new boardroom additions have.

I mean, if it's two and one becomes CEO then that shifts the dial.

It's unclear to me at least how Bell & Downing are working with MSP, or if their respective involvements just happened to coincide.

MSP are not going to be choosing the CEO / Chairman on a 25% stake surely.

I could see a figure like Downing emerging through the middle as a person agreeable to all sides and an Evertonian, but the rumours of Bell as CEO don't make sense to me if it's MSP in the lead position.

He is. Played a game of footy against him in a corporate friendly thing nearly 20 years ago when the company I worked for then had a tie-up with his - he was pretty decent actually.

I am totally against minority investment, unless it is with a view to a complete takeover in the near future

We need a takeover and for Moshiri, Kenwright and the board to go. This sounds like a small reshuffle.

If MSP are getting only two positions on the board, I would be surprised that both Kenwright and DBB are leaving. I think Sharpy would be nailed on to go, and then take your pick after that. But really can’t see the club uniting if Bill or Denise are still on the board. This is quite concerning.

might be testing the waters hoping investment might appease the fans and let kenwright etc stay on , the same way top 10 finishes let kenwright get away with murder for years im under moyes

Minority investment could be a way at trying to preserve as much of the status quo as possible. That's my big concern here
