The Everton Board Thread

TBF, I wouldn't be going near this club for a complete takeover before that PL commission gives its verdict.

I think it's unlikley that we'll see points deductions, but you never can tell. If they handed out an 8 to 10 points deduction it'd probably sink us next season.
I think they’d be wary of that, sets a precedent should Man City be found guilty.

Composition of a new board looks messy at the moment even if its a clear-out.
Potentially disparate and disconnected individuals and groups who may pull in different directions.
It hinges on majority control.
I can understand the reticence of any investors when the club is bleeding cash in the way it is but getting several parties to pull together in one direction would be very difficult.
Even moreso if Moshiri retains his majority stake, surely in that instance he'll have to replace Kenwright + DBB in addition to other new board members (MSP, Downing, & someone from within the Andy Bell portfolio of companies?).

So is another blue on the board something we want? It’s not exactly working out at the moment isn’t?

Are we best with a neutral?
Its a very fair point and one that should be worthy of attention when we make/get new appointments.

Of course if Terry Leahy could have been on board I would have said yes, go for it, his business MO worked wonders for Tesco and as a Blue you would like to think he would have done the same with us.

of course the Once Bitten should be considered massively as we should have learnt with Blue Bill!

The issue with our Evertonian board members isn’t the team they support. It’s that they’re incompetent at their job as board members of a football team.

Can someone honestly tell me how in the world the Panda botherer ended up in his role?

Fine footballer, decent commentator and club rep…. Zero boardroom experimence.

Ok so we’re saying “unwise but not illegal”? lol

Kenwright will be fuming. Man city scored the fastest ever goal in the cup final. He will have to take the saha photo down from the Everton timeline around Goodison. Another of his massive achievements from his time in the boardroom. Whats the odds he changes it to the 2nd fastest goal in a cup final. Thats about his level.
Was that seriously a commemorated thing?
I don't want to be reminded of any gane we lost, let alone a cup final.
