The Everton Board Thread

All singing all dancing proverb is Sharpy now, Judged by the company you keep, an incompetent self interested board.

He's done immeasurable damage to his reputation and legacy

It could be repaired in time, but for the foreseeable he will be persona-non-grata at the club that made him famous

I don't know what made him think he could have ridden this one out. Sure, maybe he'd be out in the cold in the short term as part of Kenwright's revenge, but once new owners were in place he could have easily worked his way back in and would have retained the respect and appreciation of the fanbase

It's quite a tragic tale in all honesty

It's heartbreaking tbh, but it's also astonishing that he felt that vocal support of a regime which has got us into the mess we are in was appropriate.

I'd like to think he'll be forgiven one day, but it has felt like a real betrayal.

Especially following Headlockgate

Anyone with any moral fibre should have distanced themselves from the board at that point

That made it officially war on the supporters, and the line was drawn. Sharp sadly picked the wrong side to stand on

What an amazingly ill informed post this is .
If you can’t be bothered to accurately research the CV’s of those you’re attempting to pillory, why bother.
You just come across like a petulant child throwing out insults he doesn’t know the meaning of.
So basically you're saying what we all know. He's a....

Shows ho thick they are. How many times have owners won in a war against the fans? Especially in the premier League.

He was one of my favourite players in the 80s but even before this episode I had lost a lot of respect for him over the blue union marches and his one man and a dog remark.
He had enough time to have distanced himself from this shower and chose not too

I'm just impressed that he managed to correctly spell "cognitive hypocrisy" when the word "out" gives him so much trouble...

Woke up in a great mood this morning knowing these blurts have finally gone. Just waiting for Bill's other worldly statement about all the good times we have had under his stint and how grateful we should all be and the club can finally move forward under professional leadership and direction.

Should have gone over headlock, report and release the evidence or i'm out, very simple to put in a way that was about the majority of fan and the minority which every club has always needs rooting out etc. Myself think it speaks volumes about the person in situations like this, pretty easy to take principled position.
anyway he didn't and only has self to blame.

Whilst I’m delighted that we have change, I do worry about the impact on what is probably the most important transfer window in years. I just hope we have a budget and plan in place to sign players should they be available, but I doubt it!
We said that for the past 5 years
