The Everton Board Thread

You could have said the same about Thatcher mate at the end
I will be absolutely made up of I hear he is no longer on are board.

I'd have been more made up with that had she been in office at the time rather than dribbling into her cornflakes at a retirement home...which is pretty much where we are with Kenwright.

I've already moved on from Kenwright. I'm more concerned about the new set of spivs on their way in here.

Apart from the bit of him actively being involved in transfers, negotiating on behalf of the football club and having the final say if we sign a person.

Yeah, dead irrelevant.

Fella was still putting out official statements baiting the fans on the club website in April, calling himself “our chairman”. When he’s officially gone I will be necking pints.

Doesn't matter if it's Dixie Dean: leave the board room to qualified and proven professionals. Like I said, by all means give actual Everton legends roles at the club, but make them meaningful roles that actually achieve something.

I absolutely love Southall but I wouldn't stick him on the board. He has a point that standards have slipped but the new people should recognise this and action accordingly. He'd be welcome in my world to give a motivational talk to the players, work at the club with the hospitality side of things/legends tours. Far more qualified than Snodin, Stewart and the like to do so.

We all love him, but Southall is a loose cannon who talks utter tripe at times....sorry, most of the time.

.I can't move on mate till he has gone.
The jinx l finally be lifted I will be a happy man .
ruined this club this fella.
broke my heart when they clapped him, so forgive me if I wallow in his departure.

People still deserve to celebrate when he’s gone, it’s a big moment in our history. It also vindicates the protests and gives us hope that we can make a positive difference when we mobilise and fight for the club.

I mourned for Everton from day one at Christmas 1999 when he got enough mugs together to head up the consortium to buy Johnson out. We were finished for 2 decades from that point on.

I'll be pleased myself. But this already happened in reality back in January. I said so back then too.

Wouldn't have any ex player near the place unless they had done something in football to warrant a call, Weir , Carsley maybe?

The fella was still putting out official club statements on the club website clapping back at the fans in April. Whether you thought he’d already gone or not, clearly he didn’t. The man is an absolute ego maniac. He will have believed until the very last minute that he could’ve hung on and turned it around. The board resignations this week were the final nail for him.
