The Everton Board Thread

You're right, Bill going won't solve every single issue. Much like DBB, Sharp and Ingles going. However, what it will do is make probably 80% of Evertonians feel as if the club can now move on and hopefully generate a feel good factor of a new era can push this club up the table slowly. Of course, it's not guaranteed a new era will be good but a total change at the club may just be what we need.

I would imagine Moshiri will be bail once the stadium is built. Whether MSP can convince him to chill out and stop meddling in the mean time, who knows.
Whilst I agree with your sentiment, I believe whilst Moshiri remains nothing will change.

At least Moshiri has invested money into the club.
Kenwright has taken far more out of the club than he ever put in!
What an Owner and Chairman he has been!
BK going will ultimately reveal the true extent of damage FM is also doing. The Board of Directors, those tasked with managing the club on a day to day basis, are clearly all BK's people. FM's last one was Ryasantsev who left a few years ago. So how involved is FM in the day to day? I guess we will see. I think it's clear he decides on the managerial and DOF hires, and he sometimes interferes in player recruitment.

That's fair enough. Might be wishful thinking but I like to think MSP will be more robust in challenging him but we shall see.
I really hope your right, at this point it would be an achievement to be a mid table team compared to where we are. I think there has to be a shift in mindset, to long this club has been happy to be rubbish, and I think Bill carries the can for that more than anybody.

Simply has to be that the investment isn't ready to go through yet / they've walked away and Kenwright is only prepared to accept a golden handshake once a new team is in place.

Moshiri putting money in doesn't absolve him of guilt, if anything it makes him inconpentent and that's a dangerous thing to be when running Everton Football Club.

He put the money in though , which is my point
The day to day running of the club was overseen by the board and Chairman , that is the purpose of boards. They direct how the money is used.
Moshiri no doubt interfered at times he is the owner after all, but it was still the boards responsibility to warn him of any mistakes they thought he was making.
If the board felt he was making poor decisions, and overriding their advice, they should have disassociated themselves immediately by resigning. The moment they decided to ignore any failings of judgment by the owner , they became equally culpable and failed in their role of a board of directors.
A board of directors are not constituted as a mere sinecure for the owner , it is they who bear the responsibility for ensuring the club is well run and to guard against any erroneous decisions made by the owner.

This and as I said in a previous post, it appears that in the investment negotiations, Kenwright failed to clarify the decision making parameters for the board which should have been documented. Total incompetence.
