The Everton Board Thread

Don't know anything about what happened, just posted what I read that he had said. I am sure those comments can easily be found if you are interested... I am not.

In general I would say that if every manager resigned after interference from the owner then there would be lots of resignations.

I simply do not buy into the theory that the problems finish with the departure of the current board.

People are letting their dislike for Bill Kenwright cloud the big issue.... the future of Everton.
You sir can drop the mike and walk TF out!

I agree that was his biggest mistake, and I cannot forgive him for it. It’s set the club back years and years and could’ve been the death of us. It’s irresponsible and gross incompetence. I want him gone before he has chance to cause any more damage to the club.
Rubbish. The reality is that Everton were in a complete mess way, WAY before Moshiri took over. He‘s pumped huge amounts of money in when no one else was even remotely interested In us! No one can fault his financial commitment.
He tried to bring us success in the short term (Ancelotti, Rodriguez, etc.) but failed. But at least he tried!
In parallel he has also been trying to bring us success long term. The stadium is a thing of beauty and potentially a game changer. It allows us to dream of a more successful future again and will give us the opportunity to compete. Moshiri has delivered where others have failed.

This may go against the grain on this forum but this is my firm view.

Doesn't just go against the grain, its utter bollocks! So much so I think you must be a clown!

Didn’t you want us relegated anyway? So you probably would have loved Ashley to be our owner, get a day out at Wembley. Also it’s ‘aspire to have’.

Wealth doesn’t equate to success by the way. Or at least it shouldnt for such a spiritual centrist.

If you're talking about nepotism then of course but Moshiri hasn't inherited money he's made his billions through grafting and has invested an awful lot of that dough into Everton Football Club and deserves a level of respect rather than be abused by layabouts on the internet.

You have a man like Peteblue who's ran corporations, ran entertainment venues, a man who knows his onions yet man dont want to listen as man ego too big.

Monday: "A statement will be made about interim appointments and the future of the Chairman in the next 48 hours."

Friday: nothing.

That beggars belief.

I mean I'm not overly arsed about this as he's going in the very near future, but the communications at the club is shocking.

It just sums up the half-arsedness that permeates the entire club. It's the work of less than 5 minutes to type up something like:

"Further to Monday's statement regarding changes to our board of directors, we apologise to supporters that we have been unable to issue a further statement within the anticipated timeframe. Discussions continue regarding interim appointments and the future of the Chairman and an update will be provided in due course. Supporters can be assured that our football department, headed by Kevin Thelwell and Sean Dyche, continue to work tirelessly in preparation for the coming season."

But it feels like you will never hear the word "apologise" from this club.
