The Everton Board Thread

The boys on the blue room had an very good point. I mean we joke about the arteta money and it is funny, but what happened to the richarlison and Gordon money...that is close to 100M? I get that we had a number of signings that went bad and the wages were a millstone around our necks, but If 2 of jpg, claasen, and gomes were good, we would be in a different spot. However, they didn't. So, is that the entirety of the problem?

It's not the entirety of the problem, our biggest problem is our wages to turnover ratio. Far higher than some of the clubs around us and is the main thing that hampers our FFP standing, hence why we have to sell 100 mil just to keep the wolves at bay. Things would have been different with more top half league finishes and qualifying for Europe, extra revenue but alas we are crap.

I missed all the excitement here yesterday but I'm curious, this is taken from the club statement in June 12th:

"The outgoing Directors have worked tirelessly over recent months to assist with the preparation for a transition to a new Board."

So Denise has been working with Colin (as she does normally) and Ingles has been working with his deputy. (Sharpy was probably eating crayons in the broom cupboard)

Wow, we're lucky we have such dedicated and professional staff!!!!

If they've been working 'for months' on the transition why are yesterday's appointments interim? It's horseshit, that's why. They got the hump and resigned en-masse once it became clear they're getting replaced.

Just have to get on with transfer business and see where we stand in August. MSP contributing nothing to that pot anyway. Expect a sale in the next week. Didn't expect MSP to take up to two months to finalise but there it is.

Can't say I have any confidence that things will go well. Transfers should be left to Dyche and Thelwell without BKs interference. But we simply have to get players in and fast. That's where the focus has to be. I hope they can do some decent work, as much as I dislike them they have to be able to strengthen the squad in the next few weeks. I want them to succeed in that.

Forgive me for not keeping up with yesterday's bombshells.

If MSP has deposited the much talked about £130 mil then why do we have to have an interim (yeah right) board & have to wait for another 6 to 7 weeks for a permanent board ?
And what is the significance of the 6 to 7 week timeline ?

What a truly shocking decision, completely out of touch with the fan base.

I‘ve really enjoyed watching the new stadium rise up (credit to the drone guys) and still believe it can be the catalyst to change our fortunes. It truly is a beautiful football stadium and something to be proud of.
Due to the stadium and his investment I’ve been one of the few that defended Moshiri and overlooked some of Everton’s more questionable decisions, blaming them on the board, but this decision is inexcusable.

I’ve been saying Kenwright should have gone a long, long time ago, as have 99% of GOT.
Moshiri is in danger of alienating the entire fan base on this one. A spectacular own goal and totally unnecessary.

So far as I know, they haven't deposited the full amount as yet.

Andy Bell has handed over his 40m (supposedly it went straight to LOR for stadium build) and this 40m is part of the MSP 'fund.'

The fact that the MSP 'Everton' fund is now registered with the SEC suggests it's very close to crossing i's and dotting T's.

It's probably not worth getting stressed over it for a few days. It's Everton after all, we're well used to it by now.

I’m convinced Moshiri wakes up and thinks how can I make the club an even bigger laughing stock than I did yesterday , like he’s a kopite managing Everton on football manager

Oh I'm not stressed about it mate it's the rest of the shenanigans I worry about , thought i read something about the £130 mil has been put up yesterday ( the Bell money last week ) ,still don't get what the 6 to 7 week timeline part is about.
Need these lot out immediately , otherwise any much needed change will be far too late to effect anything.

Remember the 48 hrs !!! ....6 to 7 weeks worries the crap out of me.

The lack of stress wasn't you specifically, it was a general warning as this thread jumped about 40 pages in 24 hrs.

It's achieved nothing. Everyone needs the weekend off.

I'm not sure what the 6 or 7 week reference is, I haven't seen it reported anywhere?

Is it just from some Chicken Licken running around fearing the absolute worst? If it gets repeated often enough it's taken as the truth.

If I were betting man I'd say we'll have a much clearer picture this time next week.

Not ideal, but we've had the absolute piss taken for close to 30 years, it's not the end of the world.
