You really couldn't make this upYes because our record in the transfer market has just been so fantastic in recent years
At least it hints that Kenwright DOES actually oversee the recruitment with his amazing black book of UK based contacts.Yes because our record in the transfer market has just been so fantastic in recent years
This "interim" period will last from today until Kenwright is carried out in a box.
'Providing an update on the Chairman’s position, Mr Moshiri said: “I wanted Bill to remain as our Chairman during this important period of transition for the Club and I am delighted that he has accepted my request to do so. Bill’s knowledge and vast experience will be crucial for us as we look to reset, deliver on external investment and position Everton for a successful future'
I know interim has been said a million times with MSP incoming, but as said today by the club statement it really doesn't state Kenwright is only here for an interim period "during this important period of transition for the Club" merely states unlike first suggested when the 3 stooges left the club and he was to follow that in fact now he will remain he's staying on as chairman. How long for? Well.. how long is 48 hours in Everton time?
The pair of them are as bad as each other.

7 weeks is almost the entire transfer window. That is far too longMyers is implying that the interim period is about 7 weeks, but I doubt Kenwright will adhere to that since he can’t even adhere to 48 hours:

pointless sellin them if the money goes the same way as the gordon and kean money , nearly 70 million just gone usually that would be a huge story but not with this basket case clubWe will likely sign nobody until the unfortunate and ill-considered sale of Onana or Pickford. It’s becoming clear there is no transfer kitty without that input.
We are a complete basket-case that lurches from one debacle to another. Whilst Mr Moshiri/Usmanov continue to be the owners nothing will change for the better. I’m fully expecting another horrendous campaign if we don’t bring in at least four players.
Can you see that continuing under these circumstances?Kenwright has been in charge of transfers for donkeys, he's still here. You up for that?
In all honesty, I have no idea what this basket case of a club is going to do next. Do I think it's possible that Bill continues to buy the trains for his trainset? Sadly, yes.Can you see that continuing under these circumstances?
And that's going to happen in the very near future.I think you can forgive people for thinking anyone coming in is going to be better than the lot they're replacing. They'd have to be an utter disaster.
Running a project successfully is a different beast to running an entire business. It's a massive step up in responsibility and, personally, I'd rather we have someone with some actual CEO experience than more jobs for the boys.
I'm a lot more concerned for Everton than just this one transfer window. You're not wrong that it's important but it's very short-sighted thinking to put the blinders on for everything affecting the club beyond that simple remit.
The board, whoever it is, isn't going to be creating money for the manager out of thin air this summer. Whoever sits on the board we are going to have to sell players. For me, it is what they are going to accomplish past this transfer window in order to prevent that situation from happening again that will be what I form my judgement on.
