The Everton Board Thread

Unlikely.

The bough has broken.
Look at the Times article, look at Myers article on SkySports, they seem to think Kenwright will still be involved in transfers. He's like Charlton Heston.
Case5-3.webp

The boys on the blue room had an very good point. I mean we joke about the arteta money and it is funny, but what happened to the richarlison and Gordon money...that is close to 100M? I get that we had a number of signings that went bad and the wages were a millstone around our necks, but If 2 of jpg, claasen, and gomes were good, we would be in a different spot. However, they didn't. So, is that the entirety of the problem?

You said it: 'include' Kenwright.

That's not owning the trainset.

And as the report also underlines this is an interim situation that will be reslved when the MSP deal agreed is over the line in less than 2 months.

I've said already that the only concern for me is that we see incoming players, especially a forward and hopefully 2 in.

The developments we've seen today strengthen that - at least in theory.

I fail to see the need for gloom.

The next two months will be absolutely critical, existentially, for this club and we've still got a self-aggrandising self-pitying, compulsive liar as the front man of the organisation. Even if it is resolved in 2 months time, which I'm far less convinced of than you, that may be too late. The Moshiri-Kenwright-Thelwell nexus sold £45m worth of players in January and brought in nobody, despite, to use your words, our pop-gun attack having us on the precipice of relegation and financial oblivion. These men will be in charge of our recruitment for the next two months, at the end of which we will have played two games already and have a handful of days of the transfer window left. That's why there is gloom.

I have no idea but it smells of trying to get something back before it all goes tits up. However I have no financial acumen and it's only a guess. Maybe they will put me on the board

According to Myers it does indeed sound like this is a makeshift board until MSP are fully through the door, which could take another 6-7 weeks.

Just praying that none of this disrupts summer preparations because it can't be understated how crucial it is.
For Moshiri to take a position himself, I think says a lot.
We have to have a board in place to run the club, and hopefully sort out Transfers and until MSP is sorted out and finalised he's just thrown a group together.
I think once that's done (MSP) than we will see an actual change looking at moving forward. ( Will Bill still be there, well I'm not holding my breath on his removal )

Add the Kean money to that.

I fail to see the need for any optimism.

Players report back for pre season soon with the 1st friendly 3 weeks today.

3 Board members have gone , we can't even say nothings changed.
Well it has , Moshiri & Kenwright are now at wheel , makes things 10 times worse.

These 2 are the apex of the group that have failed to get just 1 decent striker in over 4 windows .
There are absolutely no positives here.

I am that sick of them that I’m paying zero attention to transfers, manager, next season or whatever else

At this point I just want that news that the old duffer is officially gone and I can move on with all the rest of the mess around the club

I’m not overly interested in what he is or isn’t doing around the club lately, I just want that symbolic moment of the end of his crappy era (whilst fully acknowledging there is no guaranteeing the next one won’t be worse)
