The Everton Board Thread

I'm not sure. I'm saying on the balance of things it's likley to play out that way: Kewnright staying in his role for a short period only.

The question as to why Moshiri wouldn't just say "Bill's staying on" - full stop - has to be put to you and others who believe the 'transitional' period he ementioned wont result in him leaving. There was just no need for him to state that.

And to be honest, I really cant be mithering myself anymore with Kenwright. He'll never attend a match at Goodison again, and even if he did stay on board (which he wont IMO) he'd be operating in a limited way with a brand new board of directors, including a new CEO.

Let go of this obsession - you and everyone else. It's a distraction. Players incoming are all that concern me - starting a new season with adequate forwards to get us goals. The rest is just noise. It's a dull soap opera.
And that's the attitude that has enabled Kenwright and Moshiri to get us where we are today. By the way, I don't think you mentioned anything about the 'balance of possibilities' prior the this response, I could be wrong but I think you very much gave the impression that it was a certainty that Kenwright would be gone soon and had no influence at the club, despite Moshiri stating that Kenwright, with his expertise and contacts would be dealing with transfers.

No cahance.

Under what circumstancs can Bill Kenwright come back here again? None.

The board will be augmented with new members soon. BK and DBB and Sharp are history.

Only a fool would think otherwise.

This one is just the tip of the iceberg.

He`s trying to change the narrative now.

The new narrative is " forget about Kenwright, he`ll be gone in a few weeks / by the start of he season, we need to concentrate on getting players in ".

Very obviously we do need to get new players in as a matter of urgency, however, what he`s omitting, is that Kenwright is now officially is part of the recruitment process, sat alongside the meddling fool, Moshiri.

That doesn`t say to me, that Kenwright is going anywhere, anytime soon.

The two of them combined, alongside, their stooge Thelwell, can only be a recipe for more carnage and disaster.

That last sentence is absolutely terrifying and we wonder why we are where we are .
If thelwell needs kenwrights contacts and expertise then he should not be in the job it's a cycle of complete incompetence and wilful neglect.

I dont have to answer it.

Moshiri has stated this will be a transitional role. You have to tell me what he gains by making that statement and then allowing Kenwright to remain in place for years to come.
He has nothing to gain but the question as a result in my mind is what did he have to gain by keeping someone who, by his own admission, doesn’t run the football club to assist with to transition to the new guard. Surely the transition would have been better served by keeping the CEO on, and not the Chairman.

Beyond that they mentioned his relationships to aide and assist with transfers, surely that is the DoF role, and if they needed Board oversight on footballing matters then surely Sharp being an ex footballer would have been better suited. You may well be right, and it is literally just a transition phase but if feels like it’s an artifice created to keep him in, in my opinion, until our new stadium opens which will mean a transition of around 18 months at least. I hope I am wrong but I get why people are sceptical.

I always said it was a certainty that the current board were finished at Everton...and they were as it turned out.

It's my opinion based on what's been said that Kenwright follows them out the door sooner rather than later. I'm backed up in that belief by a club statement to that effect. You and others who are mithering yourselves with BKs continued presence have nothing solid to back up that fear.

But overall: why bother with that feller now? He's yesterday's man and the only thing that need exercise us - or should do - is the lack of incoming players.

Kenwright means nothing to me now. His grip over this club has been broken.

Stand down, that war is over.

Jesus wept, how you can go on and on about a man who's barely of any relevancy is ridiculous.

Do you think Sean Dyche is going let that divvy ruin his transfer window and hand him a mountain to climb next season?

People who elevate Kenwright to bogeyman status are like petrified kids who've watched one too many slasher films.

Move on.

He’s the one constant in the decline, to the point of ruin of the club.

He’s consistently lied, held us back by decades, sold off everything that wasn’t nailed down, including star players and cherry picked the only idiot billionaire that would allow him to stay on at the club.

He’s the cancer at the heart of the club and is now “ officially “ in charge of transfers.

He is still, unfortunately very relevant.

This whole thing is so boring. The worst part about him stayin, is the people who wont shut up till hes gone. The worst part about him going is the same people will feel like they've won and that they are just entitled to get their own way every time they shout loud enough.

Its lose lose for everyone involved.
It's not as if the masses have just developed the biggest sulk in eons and thrown a strop wanting to get their own way.
We are talking of this twerp overseeing a generation of what is essentially failure. As the one constant during this period yes we frigging well need to shout until he has gone.
Unlike your prophecy, I expect the verbals will ramp down once he has been ousted.
