The Everton Board Thread

I dont have to answer it.

Moshiri has stated this will be a transitional role. You have to tell me what he gains by making that statement and then allowing Kenwright to remain in place for years to come.
Providing an update on the Chairman’s position, Mr Moshiri said: “I wanted Bill to remain as our Chairman during this important period of transition for the Club and I am delighted that he has accepted my request to do so. Bill’s knowledge and vast experience will be crucial for us as we look to reset, deliver on external investment and position Everton for a successful future.

Doesn’t say he going nor does it say he staying but I’d say it implies more he staying.
Reading that he says Reset not restart… I think bill staying

Why?

It seems completely obvious to me that he's stating that Kenwright will be here while the transition to a new board taking over is complete.

Say Bill finally packs his bags at the end of season once BMD is completed.
Moshiri Decides to sell.

Unless they decide to sell there now 25% stake in the club, Is any potential buyer now lumbered with MSP owning a quarter of the club.
As I can't see that bringing out any big guns to fancy buying us..

This whole thing is so boring. The worst part about him stayin, is the people who wont shut up till hes gone. The worst part about him going is the same people will feel like they've won and that they are just entitled to get their own way every time they shout loud enough.

Its lose lose for everyone involved.

You couldn't be more right, it is damn boring.
But can you handle going through another season like we just have the last 2 seasons.
Can you handle any more of these shocking errors (from financial to actual signings) that our killing our club.

So yeah boring as hell, but unless you can happily live through 'Groundhog Day' season upon season than it's going to be brought up at some point....

Are you 10 years of age; the whole thing is so boring. This is the future of our club, by securing Bills knowledge and vast experience Moshiri has ensured more of the same. We are in the most crucial transfer window of our club’s history, this squad isn’t capable of securing our Premier League position so we need change. We need to make a success of this transfer window because we have mucked so many up, all on Bill’s watch. If the best adjective you can come up with for our present sorry state is “boring” then I’m afraid you have missed the point.

What are you on about?

Arsene Wenger should be CEO (I;d like David Dein involved but loads won't go for that)

DS OR Mourino and Kompany should be sounded out tonight.

Yes well thought out Mosh, just continue with the clueless idiot who has been a failure for the last 25 years. What a club.

No Dave, you've got that wrong, I don't have to tell you that at all. The question for you is, after all the crazy things Moshiri has done, eg letting Kenwright remain as chairman for the past 7 years, and all the plainly untrue statements he's made. Why do you choose to believe that Kenwright will not still be in involved in the club this time next year.

I am unsure, as in the circumstances, most people should be. Going on the track record of Kenwright and Moshiri, what makes you so sure? Inside information? Or perhaps you are just, like the rest of us, surmising. As to what he gains by making the statement, who knows, what did he gain by saying there would be an announcement on the chairmans future in 48 hours and then maintaining radio silence for over a week? What did he gain by declaring Lukaku's mother to be a voodoo priestess? The list is very long, if I could be arsed I could go on...this is by no means a certainty to be a short term measure. The pressure needs to stay on.

He shouldn't make it that long, he still won't be coming to any games and if he does he's going to get near 90 minutes of flack not to mention the protest march beforehand. I'd be amazed he hasn't resigned by the end of the transfer window.

I'm not sure. I'm saying on the balance of things it's likley to play out that way: Kewnright staying in his role for a short period only.

The question as to why Moshiri wouldn't just say "Bill's staying on" - full stop - has to be put to you and others who believe the 'transitional' period he ementioned wont result in him leaving. There was just no need for him to state that.

And to be honest, I really cant be mithering myself anymore with Kenwright. He'll never attend a match at Goodison again, and even if he did stay on board (which he wont IMO) he'd be operating in a limited way with a brand new board of directors, including a new CEO.

Let go of this obsession - you and everyone else. It's a distraction. Players incoming are all that concern me - starting a new season with adequate forwards to get us goals. The rest is just noise. It's a dull soap opera.

Well said sir!!
