The Everton Board Thread

This whole thing is so boring. The worst part about him stayin, is the people who wont shut up till hes gone. The worst part about him going is the same people will feel like they've won and that they are just entitled to get their own way every time they shout loud enough.

Its lose lose for everyone involved.

Whilst I cant wait for the day until he's gone - I agree that the internet has created (or given a platform) to a generation of entitled fans.

"Sack the manager NOW Mosh"

When goes wrong:

"ffs Mosh you've paid off too many managers"

"Spend the Russian cash Mosh"

When goes wrong:

"we deserve to be punished for spending money and being owned by someone with links to an oligarch"

Its not just Everton social media tho its every club infected with this bedwetter element - I seen a meme on twitter yesterday about Utd fans who'll be buzzing if they Spend £55m on Mount but if it goes wrong will be complaining about the Glazers.

He’s the one constant in the decline, to the point of ruin of the club.

He’s consistently lied, held us back by decades, sold off everything that wasn’t nailed down, including star players and cherry picked the only idiot billionaire that would allow him to stay on at the club.

He’s the cancer at the heart of the club and is now “ officially “ in charge of transfers.

He is still, unfortunately very relevant.
No, he's "involved" in them.

Kenwright has had his wings clipped prior to going into official retirment from Everton.

But some people want to focus on a man who's time has come and almost gone.

I'm not sure. I'm saying on the balance of things it's likley to play out that way: Kewnright staying in his role for a short period only.

The question as to why Moshiri wouldn't just say "Bill's staying on" - full stop - has to be put to you and others who believe the 'transitional' period he ementioned wont result in him leaving. There was just no need for him to state that.

And to be honest, I really cant be mithering myself anymore with Kenwright. He'll never attend a match at Goodison again, and even if he did stay on board (which he wont IMO) he'd be operating in a limited way with a brand new board of directors, including a new CEO.

Let go of this obsession - you and everyone else. It's a distraction. Players incoming are all that concern me - starting a new season with adequate forwards to get us goals. The rest is just noise. It's a dull soap opera.
Amen to that last paragraph

Whatever finances we have for players you can bet that it will be Sean Dyche who will have a leading say on what positions and what players are brought in. I actually agree with Dave. Bill is irrelevant and has been for some time. The insanity that has plagued this club is down to the owner and yes it was Bill that brought him in. However it is no longer Bills train set to hold on to, he is a (very) minority shareholder.

Sure I want him gone. I only want people on the board with financial acumen and the knowledge of how to make a business grow and Bill is not that. But i am not losing any sleep over the fact he is still there. He will be gone soon I hope. But even if his departure drags on, he aint in charge of anything.

The recruitment is dealt with by the manager and DOF. The finances are dealt with by the financial people. He just chairs a meeting, listens to what they all have to say, tells a story about Dave Hickson and then goes home and w@*ks himself off over Rita Fairclough

I always said it was a certainty that the current board were finished at Everton...and they were as it turned out.

It's my opinion based on what's been said that Kenwright follows them out the door sooner rather than later. I'm backed up in that belief by a club statement to that effect. You and others who are mithering yourselves with BKs continued presence have nothing solid to back up that fear.

But overall: why bother with that feller now? He's yesterday's man and the only thing that need exercise us - or should do - is the lack of incoming players.

Kenwright means nothing to me now. His grip over this club has been broken.

Stand down, that war is over.
The cancer needs to be cut from this club in order to give it a chance of recovery. You can see that as well I assume, but, you have taken your position on this and, as usual, you will defend it no matter what.

Jesus wept, how you can go on and on about a man who's barely of any relevancy is ridiculous.

Do you think Sean Dyche is going let that divvy ruin his transfer window and hand him a mountain to climb next season?

People who elevate Kenwright to bogeyman status are like petrified kids who've watched one too many slasher films.

Move on.

You literally know nothing about what Kenwright will be doing. He's been retained for a reason, and I'm sure it's not to hand out toffees.

He’s talking about Kenwright you freak

Pressure needs to be put on these cowboys - been in talks for around 6 months and still cant agree a fee on a small stake in the club.

Had they just put the money up weeks/months ago Kenwright would likely be gone now.

@davek

Thats exactly what we need mate - we need rid of these Yanks and Kenwright asap.

Come on Bahrain 🇧🇭

Kin buy us out and rid us of Kenwright.

I'm dumbfounded that some folks on here actually believe for one moment that Bill Kenwright will only remain as chairman for a matter of months.

People are actually trying to read between the lines of a statement released by Everton and coming to that conclusion, a statement released by Everton that isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Oh, Bill wanted to resign but Moshiri twisted his arm to stay. What a load of codswallop. Oh, and Bill's only here for another 6-7 weeks. Oh, and let's hope Dyche makes a decent start to the season and this whole board saga will blow over. That will keep the rabids dogs away.

As you were Mr Kenwright.

What are you on about?

Arsene Wenger should be CEO (I;d like David Dein involved but loads won't go for that)

DS OR Mourino and Kompany should be sounded out tonight.

Hi mate, why are you still typing “DS” yet referring to absolutely everyone else by their full names?

Is anyone the wiser as to what prompted the rest of the board to resign on masse? Has kenwright thrown them under the bus? "Dont worry sharpy i will be right behind you. Just penning my resignation letter." Then blagged moshiri that they were the problem and hes dealt with it. Or has moshiri got rid and really believes that kenwright is vital to bringing new players in and must be kept on?

What has he to gain by saying Kenwright will remain on a provisional basis? I think you have to ask yourself that.

If he came right out and said Kenwright has agreed to remain as chairman what consequences does he face? None.

He's acknowledging with his statement that he knows Kewnright is divisive and will step aside.

How anyone interprets what he stated as "Bill's here forever" I dont know.
What has he to gain? Time and peace.

He can spin it that Bill is "interim" - and there are enough fans who will buy that - while he works on his exit strategy. With new additions joining Kenwright on the board, he will hope that the new blood will dilute the toxic presence of Kenwright for long enough to allow him to keep his head down. If Moshiri is unable to remove Kenwright - perhaps because doing so will see the deposed chairman exposing where the bodies are buried - then he has plenty to gain by selling this stasis as a temporary state of play.

If he came out and said Kenwright was staying for good, he'd risk a full-on rebellion from fans. Right now, he's banking on people like you buying his shtick to bail him out. And it's working a treat.
