My mate rang me today to ask if I fancied the Sporting friendly next Saturday.

I explained I’d rather pick sweetcorn out of my excrement than waste a day and my hard earned money on this pathetic excuse for a PL football club at the moment.

When Mosh and Billbo ballbag start running it properly or do the decent thing and go, I’m back invested.

Until then, you can keep your Maupay, Keane, Holgate, etc and ram them firmly up your dirtbox.

I’ve absolutely no desire to watch them any more.

It was more the fact that you had listed Gomes' return as a positive.

Ashley Young might be good or he could get injured and end up finished. The risks you take signing OAPs.

Danjuma is a good signing for where we are and our budget. Is he better than Gordon?

Hopefully Branthwaite walks into the team, if he doesn't it's Keane or Holgate at the moment.

I think it's a stretch after two signings to say we are better.

If he can run for longer than 1/2 hr without blowing steam then he is automatically better as Gordon had usually run himself into the ground after 20 mins.

My initial reaction was to laugh at this post.

But honestly its not wrong, the problem is, no issues have been resolved, in most cases we have traded a not very good player, for a not good player.

If Branthwaite can match Mina(when he played) then great, presuming he gets a run of games
Danjuma is a good signing, presuming we are losing Gray though
Gomes better than Davies? Based on what?
Ashley young cannot play every game so we will be very dependent on Myko and Godfrey regardless

I don't think the squad is better, it is similar
The squad was relegation fodder last year and we need to improve more in this window
It isn't just last years team we are competing against, it is other teams that are strengthening
 
We can discuss squads and who is a better midfielder/defender/winger all we like, but without an actual Striker who is not made of breadsticks and can put the bleeding ball in the net we are screwed……,,
 
Have to scour the loan market for a striker if a new one can't be purchased. There must be someone out there, surely?!
