I automatically ignore any post that says be careful what you wish for, because its a meaningless phrase used when someone has nothing else to say.

Its the sort of rubbish we got every year from people defending Kenwright.

Yeah we could get relegated, but I think that's far more likely to happen under the current owner who likes to get involved in transfers and thought Benitez was a good idea. I'm going to take my chances with new ownership every day of the week and twice on a Sunday.
El Ghazi….need we say more

Yet they go quiet when a bunch of far right Yanks with no clue or interest in football or proven funds try buy the club which will have an impact on future generations to come.

At least they aint Kopites...
Maybe you should Google where the gold mine is that John Thornton company is…..I’ll give you a clue.. it begins with a U

I do actually.

Its quite easy to find out if you have the internet.

Thats the problem with some on here though - they dont research things they wait to be told by the esk or bobble or some random twitter page without looking into what we're getting ourselves into.

The money man behind the deal nearly went bankrupt a few years back - search the information its all there but some choose not too whilst poking fun at those who do as being "doom mongers".
Nearly being the key word, proper business types know their way to recover from that sort of position

I mean you’re having a dig at fans again yet last summer everyone with a clue knew what was going to happen with the managerial appointment yet you were staunchly for it right the way through to it inevitably going tits up and still after it

Are they friends with Farage and far right yanks like Trump who just banned abortion - yes?

Are the group PL wealthy - no

Are they reported to want to put their kids on the board - yes

Are they reported to have only had initial interest in the stadium and real estate? - yes

Have they any experience in running a sports club never mind a football one? - no

Is it in the press that the money man behind the deal nearly went bankrupt years ago - yes

They are facts which I am making my opinion from.

What facts are you making your opinion that they'll be good owners from?

You haven't any! Its just "something something Moshiri worse".
Who cares if they are connect to Trump.. when the hell did Everton become all about politics.
Interms of Trump. I believe he asked him to make a trade deal with the Chinese because he has good connections and is a very intelligent person and a very well respected individual. Who ran some of the biggest company’s on the planet. I believe they receive something like 1bil in dividends from the Gold mine each year. So let’s come and assess strip Everton for the 10 mil a year… what

It’s true he has never run a football club before and why he wants to is strange

Finally on the political crap.. our current owner is connect to a mad man who currently committing war crimes.. but yeah let’s not have these fella cos he knows Trump…

There are very few owners who came close to relegating a side with 60 odd years continued top flight existence. There are very few owners (and none i can think of) who have spent so much to decline so much.

I've been embarrassed the last few years at how we've been run. Why would I not be open to a change in ownership? It doesn't seem logical to fear change given our woeful last few years.

All for change of ownership. Just not to a bunch of cowboy property owners who think with a bit of US of A sparkle it'll unlock a financial goldmine for them.

Just look at what the new Chelsea owner has been saying. That Super League idea isnt the only trick up their sleeves trust me

Anyone looking at Everton financials will know it’s not a gold mine… his actual gold mine gives him billions in dividends

"We think the global footprint of this sport is really undeveloped," Boehly said. "There are four billion fans of European football. There are 170 million fans of NFL. Global club football is a fraction of the NFL media money."

There's your key factor. Don't be surprised these American owners all getting together to plan some huge restructuring for their own financial benefit and not the club's or leagues at some point. We'd no doubt tag along as the runt if the litter ostracising other clubs

Without advocating Moshiri's continued ownership, sadly I think a new owner (I'm not specifically saying this consortium) could do worse.

There are numerous examples of terrible ownership throughout the English league over the past few decades, which outshine that of our owner's.

Personally, I've took little notice of this entire 'takeover' up to now, so I don't even know who the supposed consortium members are - anyone summarise for me?

Does anyone actually know the wealth of these guys buying the club?
Nobody seems to know. They’re apparently very private individuals whose personal wealth isn’t known in the public domain. There’s plenty of reasons, some rather obvious, why they’d keep that sort of information to themselves. A lot of mystery surrounds them with the Polish born fella in particular who like to keep a low profile. They could be absolutely minted and the best thing that’s ever happened to us, or they could be a disaster. NONE of us know at this point. One person who will know, is Moshiri. We can only hope he’s been here long enough to actually care that the new owners would be good for us going forward, and not just sell to anyone who gives him a fair price.

More than likely will end up a Goldman Sachs "asset"
