Think you are underestimating Sky there. Losing EPL in the UK would of course be painful (and also isn’t happening any time soon) but they aren’t piling multiple millions in to Elstree and their Osterley base because they’re a one trick pony.
Comcast’s owns them, they have 23% of the home broadband market, there far more to them that the football.
They might be owned by a Comcast but in the last few years they lost all their Disney content. The champions league. They also lost a few movie company’s and will lose even more when HBO max launch in the uk.
If they lost the football then they lose millions of RS subscribers.

Again, they would've done it by now or set it up. The millions if not billions to invest in an infrastructure to support streaming all games live unless they team up/license company that has it ie Sky, BT etc. So why change? They'd still be licensing the Premiership brand just like they already are.

When people throw the term "Netflix model" about they completely forget about the billions of debt they have, and the billions that's been invested in it.
Because making it streaming on one platform works wide will increase income ten fold

I think that probably Amazon idea which is why they are testing the water. They streamed loads of games at the same time

Simple economics then yes, set up a service and charge a fee globally.

But it's not that simple. International rights, domestic rights, club rights, service charges, and the millions for infrastructure to keep it running. Least not forget it almost puts Sky and all the other networks out of business across the globe.

For example....if the US only has an NFL Gamepass that doesn't show live games on it for a subscription...but the international version does (for £150 a year)...why is that?

The health of the club is not in good shape because of extravagant spending and mismanagement

The idea we should support that continuing is utter nonsense.

Any new owner would struggle to run the club this badly.
I don`t think he is suggesting Farhad should stay or has been successful, apart from the stadium credit wheres it due and all that.

The point is lets not accept the 1st group that shows an interest just because it isnt Moshiri.

I don`t think it will be the Kenyon group who is ultimately successful, I say that hopefully, becuase when you are trying to buy something like a football club you dont go running to the press every 10 mins, reminds me of the Vitor Perreira scenario.

These Kenyon yanks have £1bn between them so the club and the stadium will be paid for by loans, the club will then pay these loans. Our club will be £1bn in debt with massive interest repayements running in to 10s of millions. Its a bad deal and I hope there are better groups out there....

I'd wager the leak came from somebody at Everton.
Perhaps some parts but the direct quotes from kenyon is obviously him, I think he is putting pressure on FM to accept their bid which hopefully FM sees it for what it is and for the good of the club draws in other bidders.

The cat is out of the bag now, everyone knows Everton is for sale.

Where can I see these direct quotes from Kenyon?

Everything I have read is "our source confirms" and other such vague guff.

At the time the story broke Kenyon was saying how a football club should be run etc in the media, cant remember who printed that. I`ll have a look when i can get near my PC...

EDIT: I think it was in the Telegraph as well but I don`t have access, I think I got in to it via a link on Twitter.

Right, but that was just reporting his views about what does and doesn't work.

It wasn't Everton takeover specific.

I'd be amazed if a respected CEO or others in that consortium broke what I'd imagine would be quite strict NDAs, it gives them no advantage.

Our lot, on the other hand, particularly one who has errr, used to media to his advantage previously....

Putting their own ego above the long term health of the club.

I just wish this cabal would own it as they're more than happy for these Real Estate Vanpires to buy the club and take us back to the glory days of Kenwright austerity and dodgy offshore loans from Mr Green but with the added bonus of absent owners residing on the otherside of the planet.

Everyones entitled to an opinion but just own it lads - you're happy turning a blind eye to these Texans because you dont like the Iranian fella with the silly voice owning the club.
He is crap at running a football club. That's all. That's why people don't like him. Not because he is Iranian and has a silly voice. He has made us less competitive, and put us in into an even bigger financial mess than we had been when we were just skint before he took over. That's why people don't want him. Don't try to slyly suggest it's anything more than that such as not likeing him because he is Iranian.

No idea my guess would be because it’s only a domestic league with no much viewership world wide and they see it as a cash cow for anyone stupid enough to pay that
The PL is world wide and has much more power.
Every PL club already has the set up available

We are in 2022 I should be able to watch my team without having to find a dodgy stream. Streaming is the future

Kenyon hasn’t said anything.. why would he tell the world that he buying Everton so other people can jump ahead.. the leaks will be from Moshiri most likely
