Many have a bad feeling about the current owner and chairman mate.

The difference is the proof is in the pudding regarding the two we have now, just look at the state of the club. Were heading in the wrong direction we are just getting blindsided by a new shiny stadium, that will be know use to us if we aren't in the PL

Of course any new owner will have risks but il take a punt they are more business savvy than the current lot.

Mike Ashley was business savvy at Newcastle. Being business savvy in football doesn't make fans happy.

You don’t know if they are ffs, none of us know exactly what their plans are until they actually sign the deal

So where's the money coming from then to plough £1 billion for the shares, BMD build and then on top money for transfers?

Do you let a random stranger come sleep in your house because you dont know if he's going to bash you over the head with a clawhammer in your sleep or not until it actually happens?

£1billion is not a cheap entry into world's the biggest sports industry.
When other clubs are going for £3b and the prospect of the league's revenue will only grow over time it's very cheap. Also it's not £1b to buy us, it's half a billion to buy us and then another half to build a stadium which they will own and will increase the value of the club exponentially on it's own. If they bought us and built the stadium they'd have spent £1b, let's say they tried to make us one of the best in the world and spent another billion in the decade following, they'd then have an asset they spent £2b on which would then be worth far more than that, all the while sky rocketing tv and sponsorship revenue would be offsetting that spend.

Football clubs are a bad investment, successful football clubs are an incredible investment. There's a difference. I suspect these lot will be aiming to make us the latter.

Splashing the cash does but look at Everton FC when you don't have the correct people in place. So while we have Moshiri we have Kenwright, while we have Kenwright we have mediocrity.

Depends if all you seek is instant gratification or not?

Do you want 2-3 years of Moshiri followed by good new owners and good times

Or

Rid of Moshiri now, bad US owners for the next 10-15+ years of further bad times

Pick your poison...
It’s not a choice that we (fans) have any say in at all though us it?

This sale, irrespective of who buys his shares, is down only to Moshiri/Usmanov. All the noises point to the fact that he wants out, more than likely because his previous employer has been sanctioned.

Unlike the majority of us, Moshiri has no emotional attachment to Everton whatsoever, and will be purely looking at this sale as a means of recouping some of his and Usmanov’s “investment”! He’s not going to give one second’s thought to what’s best for Everton Football Club moving forward!

Absolutely. Which goes to the point...all for a takeover.

But the people saying "Well, at least we'll be ran like a business" generally means football comes 2nd.

Football isn't a business, its an entertainment industry. Once the business takes precedence over what happens on the field...fans will get upset.

Why not? You would have nothing to worry about surely until something bad actually happened even if they did look rather sinister.

Thats your current mentality to these carpetbaggers mate. Why take a risk on the grounds of "wait and see" when they look suspect as?
