Mate Carlo wasnt staying no matter what and it wasnt the regulation's fault we had wasted vast sums of money prior to hiring the best manager of his era.Had we had room and scope to spend real money when Ancelotti was here, he might have stayed and we may have kicked on. That is where we were screwed over by the regulations.
The problem is you need to spend more than your mid table rivals to move up a level to where half decent players/managers see you as a respectable club to be at - that is always going to see us sailing close to the wind.
Unless of course we can seriously boost turnover with ridiculous sponsorship deals that aren't usually applicable to a club that isn't even in the lowest rung of European competition football.
We spend similar money to Spurs, prior to this window, players bought, wages paid, its very close and whilst Spurs have "stayed pretty flat" we have fallen like a stone.
But honestly, if you think FFP is the issue, get a group of like-minded people together and protest it.
