The Everton Board Thread

Don't get me wrong.
Only success on the pitch will ever be good enough.
But we have a sheeeeite squad
Sheeeeeite academy
Sheeeeeite Stadium now
Sheeeeeite atmosphere

What are some of you expecting?
To turn the pauper way we were run for 20 years around in 5?

Give your heads a wobble.
Take another 10 years after we get in the stadium to try and get close to what LFC, MUFC, CFC, AFC are, without even mentioning MCFC.

Stop stressing.
It is not like it is your money he is wasting.
His output is a million miles above the local shareholder brigade.

Crikey. Look back at pre moshiri.
Have you forgotten how bad it was??

No harm in wanting better, but wind your necks in. It won't happen this season. Or next. Or Next.

Some decent sentiment there. We need a billionaire owner to finance the stadium and you are right things won't be turned around in a year.

However, we are now hamstrung financially due to Moshiri's mistakes over the last 5 years.

We can be realistic but also just want basic accountability at board level. Is Moshiri calling the shots? Is Brands to blame for our shocking business? What does Brands actually do?

We have got worse in every department on and off the pitch every year since Moshiri has been here?

Why was Brands given a new deal after proving himself either redundant or incompetent? Would love these questions to be asked at the AGM oh hang on a minute it’s over Microsoft Teams with an approved guest list and scripted questions.

We're debt free mate!

Moshiri has made a lot of mistakes but making out like he's a Venkys chancer or money making hedge fund scum like the Glazers is completely wrong.

The reality is none of us were slating Mosh Man when he apointed King Carlo and were sat top of the table 12 months ago, singing spirit of the blues - maybe apart from Esk who everyone gave abuse too claiming he knows nothing, was bitter etc.

People are largely titty lipped because he hired Benitez and years of Walsh/Brands wasting money has come home to roost - thats it. If we were top 6 having spent £100 million in the summer with someone else as manager we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Mosh goes tomorrow - BMD goes with it and potentially we don't dont get a better owner in as we've seen with Newcastles takeover the scab 6 wont let them just come in and join the party - its restrictions on sponser deals etc.

Again I agree. Financially, though it's taken 5 years, we are stopping the rot.

However, Moshiri needs to be taken to task on his mistakes. Yes the club is his, that doesn't mean he can't be better advised. Or I dunno, have an actual competent Director of Football to sort out trivial things like signing a fecking right back.

Exactly, while there's been good things recently like a shovels in the ground at Bramley Moore and finally reversing the suicidal financial trajectory we were on there still remains baffling questions like what Brands has done to justify being on the board and handed a new deal? For all the money spent, why have we failed to sign a right back since 2017?

They aren't stupid. Imagine a AGM after a few more losses Brands and Kenwright would get both barrels from every question. No accountability fc we truly are

Wasn’t he the biggest factor in the ‘suicidal financial trajectory we were on’ in the first place?

I've just filled in an Everton/Premier League fan survey. I gave feedback with both barrels. I mean from things like why we're not trialing safe standing for example. Or why there's no singing section. Plus about BMD.

Dream on.
Nor will the eventual debt that the money he's 'put in' (ha) evolves into...that's not how you get to be a Billionaire Accountant.

It will all be EFCs debt and, you might say - therefore, by extension 'ours'
Or
If we're really lucky(?) it will belong to the next fool he sells us on to - but that next fool, will be, to all intent and purpose - Everton FC - and hence the debt will always be, behind all the accounty - wountey, flim flam and jiggerty pokery - EFCs

So on your first 2 points:
The squad has got considerably worse since he arrived. His lack of judgement, or understanding, has led to one of the worst squads every assembled. He’s appointed 2 DoF to oversee this, and on both occasions their positions are either redundant (because the manager has a different ideas) or they are not for fit the job

The academy, after 5 years with a proper development plan in place could be producing talent now. But again, on his arrival, he decided to give the academy their own budget and try to buy their way to glory not understanding that the aim of the academy is to produce talent and not trophies.

The club is run like an utter mess, when you have agents stating that they don’t like dealing with Everton because you need to get approval from 3 people for a transfer then that is glaringly obvious that something is massively wrong at the club.

Yeah. Still not yours.

Squad and Academy are not worse now.
Rubbish.
Squad needed investment. We've had it with Moshiri. Then Blown it. State of plan now is Still better than the mess we were in, pre-Moshiri.
He is no saviour. Had made mistakes. Deserves criticism for decisions. But he can make worse if he wants. His money.
We have to lump it. Unless the Clown is coming out again for a walk up Spellow Lane.

Bar Rooney. Who previously had to be sold to save club's skin. Academy been far below par for years. Unless you class Osman and Ebrell as success stories.

Short memories.
