The Everton Board Thread

Seriously ? On what basis ?
We needed someone who knew the club and would be able to keep us stable and progessiing, something he had done in the past, but if he was to have gone who do you really think Moshiri would of got in his place? If you think one of his people would have been better then you have paid no attenton to the last 6 years of decline and his recruitment

Him being chairman is good though, proven track record
On the board since 1989..1 trophy under a different chairman ,Tried to move us out of goodison next to a Tesco in Kirkby, lied about funding for kings dock, sold a genuine diamond in rooney for £10m upfront ,refused to sell to the Mansours, steadily introduced a losing culture that the club may never recover from, sold best players year after year, told fans we’ve have good times when we were 1 foot in
The championship, found the only mug stupid enough to part with his money and keep a failing chairman in situ , yes thanks bill

This knows the club line is pretty cliched [Poor language removed] isn’t it really ?? Kenwright bringing moshiri here is great for the new stadium granted but on a playing field we are back to where we were in 2001, could argue even further back, given back then we had only been a few yers after an fa cup win. Clubs just bang average and for me Kenwrights never as had a vision for this club apart from milking anything he can from it. Only reason moshiri came here was because Kenwright was the only fella daft enough in the land to sell too him.

Fair-ish point based on most of Moshiri's appointments so far...probably one of those who whisper drivel in his earhole time to time, like that agent guy or Jim 'kin Whyte.

2 wrongs don't make a right though, nor excuse Kenwrights litany of well documented 'follies', going back to KD and beyond.
Bill's road to this particular hell we find ourselves down, was, as I'm sure he'll tell you, paved...as they always are...with good Intentions.

I want both Kenwright and Moshiri to eff right off tbh. I'm sick and tired of all these absolute cretins, running this once great club into the ground.

What about the stadium people say? I'm sure it would still get built, but this club getting it's act together on the pitch is by far my number one priority.

Thing with King's Dock, the game didn't have as much money in it back then as it does now, so it wasn't as easy to find good investors. You only have to look at record player signings in that period, small in comparison to today's fees.
Either way it's hard to say the failure of that held us back, not when you look at were we finished in following seasons and did get into Europe
Also don't forget many teams did move back in those times, and none actually went forward, many went down.

...and we stood still?
Would Grantchesters 'reverse mortgage' solution have made a difference?
That's the whole point, Kenwright didn't allow it to get past square 1.
So we'll never know.
Bottom line / worst case was we would have got a new ground in an even better location.

Not the world's biggest Kenwright fan me

See Grantchester, he was a lot richer then Kenwright, ok a lot of it based on land, why didn't he buy the club when Bill did? Why did he back Peter Johnson ??
People seem to forget about these directors in the background, and just pin everything on Bill, it doesn't work anymore, not 6 years into a wealthier owner and the club failing.
Why couldn't Moshiri do with money what Bill was able to do without it, obviously I'm talking about the pitch/squad results part of the club, the important part.

Last time I checked Moshiri has done the same as Bill.

Unless I missed it, the last number on that list is 1995?

He became the second largest shareholder in 1999, when Peter Johnson sold his shareholding after the Football Association told to him sell his interests in either Tranmere Rovers or Everton. He became the largest stakeholder in the club in 2004.

The king's dock would of happened, but the money backers would have a 55 percentage on the stadium and knobhead said no because he wanted the majority percentage. We could of agreed and bought more later ,this cost us the investment of the crowd owning city they would have paid them off ,he's a tit and cost us

Correct, people thought if Bill sold up things would get better, because he was the problem, and guess what, they got worse....

He was right to say no, 45% for us, no chance should we have gone for that.

I think Bill did the best he could, not always, but he tried.

His focus was never whats best for Everton tho, its always been whats best for ME.

Anyway, its been clear for a few months that you are just trolling regarding Bill, so enjoy.
