The Everton Board Thread

Or they have factored the real prospect of relegation into their finances (including payoffs for a big management team), are in a precarious FFP position (not sure what the ELs rules are on that but aren’t they more draconian than the PL’s?) and are planning a big sale in summer (JP) and with parachute payments are looking to bounce back first time? Unless Moshiri takes a massive loss, I can’t see how he sells the club to break even to a buyer when there a real prospect upon us being the Championship next year and the value of the club plummets.
I think this is the most likely scenario. They are going to accept relegation without any recognition of what a long and brutal season it will be next year in the championship, especially with this squad.

It’s a closed shop always has been. The kenwright show maintains and thrives on the “jam tomorrow“ - kick the can down the road MO.
Farhad Moshiri has little understanding of football, players, strategy or seemingly in running a corporate business whatsoever and seems intent on covering his ears to anyone except vultures or ”friends”. He seems happy writing cheques as long as someone (Kenwright) else oversees the business, lies to him about their performance and doesn’t inundate him with issues.

I salute those fine Evertonians for believing they could make a difference and for having the integrity the charlatans at the club can only ever aspire to have, although selfless acts are not in their repertoire. It’s always darkest before the dawn….

Can I pose a question, on what Moshiri said about the board. That he's added to the board.

He said 'they've been there for a long time, some are new appointments, they're long standing, they're dedicated, they're local... "
(he then digresses about them being in Liverpool - roots in Liverpool, and about the stadium which is an enormous challenge for a club) "they need to acknowledge they are going through a transformation, and they are working extremely hard and i've added to the board every now and again to support and when needed, you know we do it again, you can't just make rash decisions. We have two big games Saturday and the 21st, that is the only focus"

I'm asking does he know who the board consist of, really? Sasha Ryazantsev had to leave, Keith Harris and Orville gone, so too Brands. Have I missed anyone else? Really when he talks about the board there's only two but in fact there is only one that has been 'long standing'. Answers on a postcard.

In view of this, Moshiri I would imagine is taking the lions share of leadership on the football side from this one person. It would be no surprise then that
he gives the board such support. I've said before, Moshiri is just a puppet for the board. He cracks me up with his madcap utterances. His eccentricity would
be funny if we were not in such a state of decline. In such a perilous position.

If he's looking to sell up he has to learn fast that where we're going the club won't be worth a carrot. New ground or not. We (supporters) are giving you warning.
I don't care if Moshiri loses all of his investment in Everton Football Club but I do care where we're heading I want to stop that plight before it's too late.

Based on the following three points, together-

1. Not sacking the manager, despite terrible results
2. Not spending any money yet despite the position we are in, and seemingly only looking for loans without obligations
3. Delays in signing seemingly agreed contracts with pickford , gordon and Iwobi

... I conclude that the most likely current scenario is that a takeover is imminent and there is a contractual agreement or something in the head of terms preventing the club from appointing a new manager, signing any contracts or deals over a certain value.

Each of the above points are explainable on their own, but all together I think the most likely scenario is as above.

All signs point to the Qatari's buying a stake in us and giving BMD naming rights which is what DBB was alluding to a few week back.

Nothing yet fully agreed but will likely be done in the coming weeks imo.

Well they clearly do when appropriate. Some strange people seem to think they should have a big say in a multi billion private business cos they buy a cheap replica shirt. Its hilarious
It's reasonable to think that the customers of a private business should have a say in a business providing a service.
The business of course, is not obliged to respond.
In time, it'll lose the customers and fail.

It's like talking to an eight year old.

I think what you mean, is that supporters of the club, want to have an opinion on why it is not being ran well enough.

Its funny though, as yesterday you were invoking the spirit of the match going supporters, yet today these same people are portrayed as fools, who buy replica shirts and want to have an opinion.

Have you ever stopped to think, that business that want to laugh at their customer base/support base in the way you do, tend to drastically underperform? Successful businesses welcome such feedback, they dont demean it.

Lol no they don't. They do as they want, to use the Tesco analogy again, did the consult it customer on increasing prices? No. Are they going to make huge profits. Yes.
