The Everton Board Thread

The only way something will change with the board is if nobody goes to the matches any longer. An empty stadium will hurt the owner a lot more than any kind of protest. They are taking the supporters for granted...at this point it is very likely that we are relegated. So let's show the board that our support will stop until they're gone. Hopefully that will push them to sell the club and by the time the championship season starts, we'll have a different structure in place.

Why is there no buyers out there?

From what I`ve read, to purchase the club would be £450m plus the rest to finish the building of the stadium, I make that about £800m in total. To put that in to context West Ham is up for sale at the same price and they don`t own their stadium, we have 2 nearly!

There is £150m owed to Moshiri but that could be paid back over time with interest, that wouldn`t be an issue for a well run club...

There must be an Evertonian billionaire out there looking for a PL club on the cheap. Clear the decks at board level and get it running better and the value will sky rocket......
Why would Moshiri wait for the £150m, if I’m being run out of a club I would want all my money plus extra.
We had supposedly no interest in buyers when we were doing well, there will be less interest now, no one will come near us until they see what happens this season. If we go down that would knock a fair chunk off the price of the club too. Also Bill will want to stay on too.

Wonder if it came out properly if it’d be good for us? If Usmanov did own us would he basically be required to sell us like Abramovich did with Chelsea? Probably the easiest way to get rid of all the rot at the top of this club. Also makes more sense why Moshiri is so clueless, if he’s literally nothing more than a face.

"the relationship between the Board & fans has broken down beyond repair. Their position is untenable"

^ NSNOW - could anyone disagree with that?

I'll never forgive them for that statement - it was a point of no return with regards to my own view towards Everton's board.

There's no obligation for the board to attend a match. If they wished to explain why they didn't attend, do so after the game. Do so saying didnt want a distraction, or if you want to point the finger at fans, at least damage limitation and say it's a minority. The engineered that statement, and timed its publication for one agenda - to finger point at Everton fans, undermine Everton fans and cause maximum damage to Evertonians.

They went on the attack with their own fans - astonishing.

The most laid back Evertonians I know are livid with them, and rightly so.

And surely if the headlock issue is proved to be a lie there is no way back for them. It's game over. Surely?

They attacked their own fans - the exact same fans they will be begging to drag us out the proverbial in a few months time when we're on the brink of going down like last season.

I'm still utterly astonished a board of directors would openly attack their own fans knowing the reputational damage it would do - and then to make it worse, they make off-the-record briefings to friendly journalists about alleged attacks on individuals without providing any proof.

They're all a disgrace and I hope none of them are ever allowed to step foot inside Goodison again.

The Usmanov "story" is now front page of the Guardian.

One suspects that its arrival on that august organ at this time suggests that two sides can play the media game...
