The Everton Board Thread

By the board's now many enemies. Why would this come out today of all days? As a reaction to yesterday's nefarious statement is the obvious answer.

Kenwright cannot be the chairman of a board being run by a shadow owner and credibly claim he knew nothing.

Bill's a survivor, but he won't survive that. Mind you, I don't think he'll survive yesterday anyway.

I sincerely hope you’re right, that Kenwright and the board do not survive yesterday.

But as for who the board’s enemies are… aside from Everton fans I’d struggle to think who they are. Every other club in the country would want that board in place for as long as possible.

What is it with Kenwright and ‘shadow’ investors? He directly had them and hen sold to a moron who had one as well. I can’t wait until we have an owner who actually has his own funds
Was actually thinking the same when I read that article. Just an above board owner who doesn't have shady characters in the background

In this case, the answer is staring you in the face. Board declares war on fans. Fans hit back.

How else can a man with meagre resources retain the chairmanship and influence for more than 20 years at a club in the most elite and richest league in football? He's either complicit or incompetent, or both, but he obviously doesn't care as long as he's there.

I think I can remember reading in the past that there are people with money who refuse to be involved as long as BK is there. Grantchester maybe - I can't remember exactly. This goes back way before Moshiri

Yeah there was someone who wanted to get involved back in the day but they wanted Kenwright gone, might have been Grantchester, pretty sure it was another name though.

I remember saying to my dad a few years after Kenwright took over, that he reminded me of Francis Lee at City, his takeover was viewed as saving the club from City’s previous owners but Francis Lee never really had the financial backing so sold the club after a few years….I remember saying that BK wouldn’t let go - the reality is that a man with meagre resources has no right in trying to purchase and run a club the size and expectation of Everton but he is narcissistic so sweet talked other idiots into backing him

They were relegated under Lee. Alan Ball was manager at the time.

What would be peak Everton is if the pressure builds and Moshiri is driven to sell but retains ownership of BMD and we stay at GP. Moshiri then starts a third city club, the Mersey Mavericks, just as the war with Russia ends and Uncle Uz reappears in collaboration with Abramovich to turn the Mavericks into a global force.

I’m looking forward to the Mavs thrashing Liverpool
