The Everton Board Thread

The Dyche stalling is 1000% an excuse to say we had no time to get players in. Shame on anyone who falls for it btw, he was our manager on Thursday and we employ and pay a director of football.
Almost as bad as thinking “we can tell the press that the CEO was assaulted and everyone will believe us”.

The standard phrases will be rolled out on Wednesday; tough market, not enough time with new manager. My personal favourite will be the tried and trusted:

The new Manager wishes to assess the squad first.

EVERTON BINGO

Give the Board a bit of slack lads, they'll work tirelessly to appoint a manager once they have imagined the latest risk assessments, threat levels and whose turn it is to get scragged, then for DBB to type up the next instalment of the pre-match Statement saga for the Arsenal match. After advice from 'friends' the use of body doubles (triples in the case of some) is being mulled over.

….but surely Moshiri is desperate to stay up. Getting a couple of players in to improve performance is very much in the clubs interest. I know we’re bad but surely the club are working to bring players in.

It would be unbelievably stupid if the club were to be holding ANY kind of press conference for him this side of the transfer window given what a monumentally important next 36 hours lie ahead for the club. A short statement on the site is more than sufficient. It's not as if he's being appointed due to our success.

Still no sign of any resignations/sackings from the board - a bunch of absolute chancers, including the owner.

If they had an ounce of integrity, honour or had this club in their hearts, they would have been long gone, especially after the headlock lies.

The new manager will get all evertonians full support and backing - these people will never see anything like that again, so why continue to create a toxic, shambolic environment for us, the players and the new management team and drag what was once a great name in world football through the gutter? Shameful.

To be fair, the media team would handle that side of it anyway and you would hope that thelwell was sorting players regardless of who was coming in. There is no excuse for us being so slow.

^^This ... it's what would be expected of a business with an efficient media strategy. Crack on with the important stuff, just have a well controlled slot for the obligatory pre-match press conference on Thursday (?) when the reality of player recruitment (or not) has been resolved.
