I suspect the none spend or severe limits in January was so they could say to Premier League, things are improving in the T+1 and T+2 years they have to give the Premier League

Their excuse for the long delay during the window and ultimate failure to sign a striker was because only one player was suitable, and he jumped ship to Spurs on the last day. Abysmal excuse and frankly unacceptable. I am not suggesting there were lots of suitable players at our price range, but who do they think they are kidding claiming there was only one?

What other board of a premier league club tries to deceive their fanbase by making phantom bids for players they know don't want to sign for them. Not falling for that nonsense bid for Gallagher who had already made it clear in a previous window that he didn't want to join us.

They have a history of this as well. Shearer, Owen, etc. There is a common denominator here. All roads lead to one individual who has been at the club for over 30 years now..

Fully agree, they had 5-6 months to find players. You can sign a player any time during the year. We don’t know how much money they had to play with, but if they are telling us, that there was no one in the world who we could get and make a difference to our front line!. Utter fools and they just keep digging there own grave deeper and deeper.
