I like Greg personally, or at least don't mind him, but he was played like an absolute fiddle by Prentice over that rubbish headlock story. Was told of heinous allegations being made against supporters by his ex-boss and then published them without doing any investigate work at all. A rookie mistake by a supposed seasoned journalist. Rather than focusing on learning the lesson itself though (to never trust anything the Everton board feed you) he acted like a sulking toddler and started blocking people who were giving him (mostly) justified stick. Obviously there was a couple of cranks, it's twitter FFS, but he threw a massive pity party for himself rather than hold his hands up. Was a bit arl arse for Paddy Boyland, the other EFC writer for the Athletic, because he caught some of the blow back also when it was nothing to do with him.
The overall sticking point from that episode for me though is what a horrible rat Prentice outed himself as. Being an idiot Kenwright loyalist is one thing, but using a former colleague, and supposed friend, the way he did to get despicable lies published on a well-known and trusted platform? What a lovely sounding fella.
Deserves to be lumped in with the rest of them, never welcome at Goodison ever again.
