The Everton Board Thread

That’s what they want us to feel mate - apathy and to just give up, nothing to see here, move along.

Not gonna happen - they ended themselves, they just don’t want to admit it and hope we forgive and forget.

We’ve already got a zombie owner and board of directors running a zombie club - the fans had been zombies for way too long, we can’t go back to that now.

Support the team; sack the board.
Perfectly put

If Moshiri sacks everyone on the board would you be happy?

And what timeframe would you give the new board for things to improve? What targets would the new board have to meet?

I think at some stage bridges have to be mended mate for the good of the club. Looking at tings from a rational perspective mistakes have been made from both sides - the fan that head locked DBB was out of order likewise the board shouldn't have weaponised the incident and turned it into a media storm.

For me - DBB and Ingles welcomed back into the Everton Family.

Kenwright & Sharp - moved on and replaced with professionals.
🤣🤣🤣 mate, cmon now, enough of the wummery. The headlock never happened, behave.

The board have burned the bridges and they don’t give a flying one about the Everton family - there’s nothing left to build or rebuild with these people.

They all go or their foul stench remains and we remain a mess.

I wouldn’t say I would be happy, as it’s really sad and criminal that we are at this stage, but sacking them all would be a decent start. The current state of affairs is untenable and cannot continue.

Moshiri also has to sell up imo, but I know that will only really happen once BMD is done.

I don’t have a timeframe or specific targets, but given time, with competent football business professionals at the helm and on the board, I would expect to see considerable improvement and increases in revenues for our sponsorship and off the pitch activities; more, better communication with the fans instead of the twaddle that they are feeding the FAB (that should be completely revisited and restarted as a proper independent body).

Allow whoever we have as DoF to do the job they are employed to do, and not have a theatre producer or an oligarchs accountant anywhere near transfer and contract negotiations.

If these things aren’t delivered then action would be needed, as it would at any failing business.

The Nsnow campaign align with my wants for a better Everton - I suggest you take a look, but here is a quick synopsis:

“Bring in competent, experienced professionals who can reverse our decline and make us competitive once more.

Change the culture of the club - change the chair, board and executive.

NSNO - our standard, not just our motto.”

The main way to create growth in revenue and sponsorship is to be successful on the pitch.

The majority of fans didn't care over 10 years ago that the finances were screwed and the club lived hand to mouth on dodgy finance deals from offshore tax havens based on the Sky money.

They didn't care as Moyes would perform minor miracles on a negative net spend.

You’re not really wrong but I certainly remember complaints about kit deals , failure to sort out hospitality and the like . Ultimately though you’re right on pitch performance hides a multitude of sins .

The Kitbag deal!! Forgot all about that, was a 10 year deal in 2009 that was done to solve a short term issue but leave us suffering in the longterm.

We basically sold every asset we had like Bellefield.

Finch Farm on basically a PFI deal which we are still paying for.

NTL shenigans.

Kings Dock failure.

Samuelson and the Marvel Avengers investment fund.

Trevor Birch lasting 6 weeks in his role.

Destination Kirkby and the lies that went with it. I remember Kenwright saying that Goodison's safety certificates wouldn't pass the next inspection over 15 years ago.

In years to come the truth will come out in the wash in what happened in them years.

Apart from that though yeah ?

Amen, Nath. By them not showing up to Goodison, they are expecting the fans to eventually forget about what they done. They are hoping they can make it through this year, stay up, and then ride on the excitement of moving into the new stadium after next season. If fans have to protest before the first game at the new stadium then so be it.

I think we had a level of "acceptance" that that was the way we cut our cloth at the time.
We have moved on from that era in some respects but the constants in that still remain in place and that needs to be addressed, immediately really.
Removing the Board is not that simple due to the Structure needed by law, but putting an interim board in place with a view to permanency while they go through all the fit and proper checks etc is the kick start that we need as fans, the Club needs and economically has to happen or we sink.
Its not as simple as any of us think but in reality it is 100% essential and sooner rather than any protracted drawn out saga.

I Believe that due to the absolute silence form all quarters that moves are afoot, I may be wrong but I cant see how Moshiri as dumb as he appears to be with Everton related dealings, is happy for this ship to keep sailing in this direction.

All of them need to go.
We need a Competent Board, Structure, Fiscal Policy and On Field Focus and we are not getting that under this current regime.

I’ve always cared about the ineptitude and sheer fuckwittery running the club and some of the deals others have mentioned are farcical.

Put simpy, I just want a better Everton on and off the pitch, and that can’t happen with this lot anywhere near the club.

Yes, very happy.

They need possibly up to 2 financial years to get the Economics back on track and a full review of on pitch performance over the end of season this year and start of next season.

Spot on mate, we can’t release the headlock anytime soon….

When will it be a white flag ? :D
