The Everton Board Thread

All this means even if we avoid the drop this season, we likely have no money in the summer. Dyche will be expected to work miracles and maybe try and get in some decent free transfers, if we haven’t been placed under an embargo, which given January wouldn’t surprise me if the PL already has us under some sort of measures. I feel like relegation is just an inevitability now due to how this clubs been utterly ran into the ground.

Does it?

I'd have thought they'd be looking to spend, and quick before any possibility of any embargo.

If we stay up, I'd be inclined to agree, they'll spend as much as they can before any possible embargo, at least that's what a sensible club would do. Perhaps in our case it is different, this board and owner have got us to this point and I very much doubt if they have the ability get us out.

Well we've sold a few now in Richarlison, Gordon, Kean. Time is a healer, too.
I hope you’re right mate. If moshiri wants out, hard to imagine he doesn’t, I can’t see him backing the club again, baring in mind the richarlison money was spent on maupay, Onana etc as well.

We won’t be seeing a penny of that money reinvested in players sadly. We’re still firefighting to get back on the right side of P&S rules, that’s why Gordon was sold with no incomings in January. It remains to be seen how much we’ve got to bring in before we’re back in the black for this financial year.

Not going to endear us to the commission that though

The accounts will show us if we can spend any money in the summer. It all really depends how far away from the £105m rolling figure we are, and how much we can bring in through player sales. Pickford is our only major sellable asset for me. I don’t think Onana is there yet, I can’t see there being a queue for him this summer.

Can't see any chance of a minority investment whilst this is pending, and with it any faint chance of stadium funding.

Unless Moshiri is willing to cut his losses and accept a fair offer for a full buy-out, there will be continued limbo.

Agreed. The breaches are historic and will be dealt with discretely from the next window. We can't go mad though before an expected transfer ban as some are suggesting and be seen as credible re our excuses for past breaches.

I think the rules are a joke and the way it’s been handled seems a bit ridiculous but ultimately it’s a club we’re a member of .

This board should hang their collective heads , I’d be ashamed to show my face in the city . I hope the ‘greatest living Evertonian ‘ and his acolytes are feeling the appropriate shame , I also hope the likes of sharp and the other 80’s legends who’ve been conspicuous by their collective silences have a long hard look at the side they’ve picked because it’s the bloke whose destroying Everton football club .

They are rules every club literally signs a document to the Premier League, ever season saying they will abide by them. In order to take part in the competition.

Bill Kenwright signed on the dotted line for Everton Football Club as the so called 'Chairman' of the board.

Which speaks volumes

Everton have to provide t-2, t-1, and t (current season) accounts, t+1 and t+2 projections

The Premier League can act if the club go outside of the agreed projections also for future seasons.

This appears to be the case here. Everton went outside of agreed limitations in their projections. It also appears to be the case as to why Gordon was sold and no purchases as EFC knew in January 2023 that there was going to be an issue.

The fact that the audited accounts still have not been published and Everton released via email and the media the "EVERTON WAY" stone purchase thing yesterday three hours before the Premier League announcement is absolutely scandalous

It is a repeat of "Headlock Gate" from 14 January, when the club 3 hours before the Southampton game and major protests by #AllTogetherNow NSNOW etc were briefing smears to the press of attacks, headlocks and threats with ZERO EVIDENCE and no police reports

This is how people at Everton Football Club, including that disgrace: Bill Kenwright - behave
