Richard Keys on Graeme Sharp

“I’m desperately sad that Graeme Sharp feels – along with the rest of the board – that he can’t attend games,” he said.
“Graeme is a great guy and an Everton legend, but unfortunately he’s put himself at odds with fans that used to idolise him by both joining the board and backing the unpopular owner – whoever that really is.
“Graeme compounded matters by telling supporters that Chief Exec Denise Barrett-Baxendale shouldn’t be a target of abuse because she ‘works hard’. Really Graeme? Abuse? No.

“But trying to convince hard working fans, many of whom can barely afford to go to games now, that Barrett-Baxendale works hard wasn’t a good idea. That’s a minimum requirement for someone in her position.
“My advice to Sharp would be to stand down from his role – apologise to fans for taking the stance that he has and take a seat next to Reidy tonight (Monday) for the game v Spurs. Make yourself a hero again Graeme.”

Once again Keys is bending over backwards not to mention Kenwright

One wonders if that’s really his mate Andy talking…

Ffs Zat, I'm on night mode and sat there for ages waiting for something, potentially a tweet, to load. Then I finally see this

Your regular reminder Newcastle were 15th at same stage last season.

What can be achieved with decent DOF, intelligent recruitment + functioning board/executive team.
And £200m plus - they seem to have done it the right way but they have spent an awful lot of money as well……more than we ever spent net in a 12 month period

Watching that game last night and battle valiantly to a point a little reminder this shower let us leave the January transfer window 19th in the table , without a win in 10 , weaker than we went into it and with maupay and simms as our fit strikers .

Even if we survive I hope evertonians never ever forget this .

Let's also not forget that these buffoons were within a whisker of putting Bielsa in charge instead of Dyche. If Bielsa had given them the nod he'd be our manager now (if he'd have lasted this long), and we'd be relegation certs.

The problem, Harry, is you know as well as I do that the day we survive - if at Goodison - will see an ocean of orgiastic emotional celebration and triumph last seen at the last home game of last season.

All - as then - will be forgotten.

We get what we deserve.
