The Everton Board Thread

The problem, Harry, is you know as well as I do that the day we survive - if at Goodison - will see an ocean of orgiastic emotional celebration and triumph last seen at the last home game of last season.

All - as then - will be forgotten.

We get what we deserve.
You’re not wrong , I was part of that last year and loved it . This year despite my season ticket I’ve arranged to be away Overseas for the Bournemouth game . I couldn’t handle the pain of failure but I swore I wouldn’t be party to celebrations like that again . It was watching the players in the dressing room like they’d won a trophy that done me . If we stay up Dyche would be entitled but the rest it’s not for me .

Spot on. I'm a bit of a cynic, but I found Lampard's messianic metaphorical crowd-surfing last season offensive. We didn't see that level of narcissistic attention-seeking from a manager when we won trophies. And the fans need to demand standards. Having a wild party because we stayed up is very 1994. It was understandable then because we were never used to fighting for our lives. But now? It looks League One to me.

Let's hold Kenwright and co accountable. Beating Palace to stay up is not the latest chapter of "Good Times". He is on record as saying it is.

We really shouldn’t be surprised that this absolute shower of a board fail to turn up to a meeting they requested two changes of date for.
They are running scared of the fan base and backed up by some/too many of the staff within the club, have circled their wagons to remain remote and aloof.

I personally find it astonishing that there are still Evertonians out there that still support the hierarchy in the face of so much evidence against them.

Refusing to attend even the puppet group that they set up.

Treating the fans with total contempt, as per.

Has to be a massive effort at the end of this season no matter how it turns out to get rid of the lot of them. They are an absolute disgrace and don't deserve to be anywhere near the club. We cannot allow their shambolic leadership and mismanagement to continue into yet another season.

Club makes group
Group does nothing for 12 months
Group sends a set of questions to club
Board fobs off group with stock answers
Group requests meeting with board
Club rearrange twice before board does a no-show

They can’t even face a group that they created themselves because they’ll be utterly destroyed.

Worst run professional club in the country. I’ve no words for these contemptuous parasites who are degrading the club from within.

If you care to cast your mind back to when Kenwright gained ownership of our club, you may recall that one of his flagship promises was for better communications between the club and the supporters.
Throughout his tenure as owner and latterly as salaried chairman communication between board and the support has been extremely poor.
Yet another lie.

“The remit of these meetings is non-football/off-pitch matters and they take place four times per year; with a commitment that the EFC CEO attends two of them and EFC’s Independent Non-Executive Director attends all four.”

So the one confirmed official duty that Seat-Sniffer-Sharp is supposed to do, he seemingly couldn’t be arsed actually doing.
