"Our commerical deals are horrendous"

Yet we've the joint 7th/8th biggest shirt sponser in the PL and are one of the top 20 richest clubs in Europe.

Empty vessels make the most noise 🤷‍♂️
8th biggest sponsor for a club that prizes itself on “firsts” and a founder member never “currently” relegated from the top flight let alone premier league which is lauded to be the most lucrative league in the world.

20+ years of chronic mismanagement of the club has contributed to this however she has been CEO for a number of years now so the buck ultimately stops at the one in charge.

You only need to take a glance at our accounts to see how far behind we are against up and coming “smaller” clubs who are showing us up off the pitch.

“Champions league? I’m planning for it” was her statement headline a few months back… we couldn’t afford to charter a plane to Europe let alone dine with the elite.

And never forget, what other club has a 200 point plan.

Mad the way you ignored everything else and just the basics, which in all honesty are not that good.

You’re getting schooled by everyone again.

It’s just embarrassing

So you're blaming her for not being able to fulfill her job because Kenwright is an egosticial maniac who controls everything that goes on ?

Look at Newcastle - average manager, same bunch of players minus 3-4 good signings yet have gone from bottom 6 to top 4 in space of 18 months because the culture of Mike Ashley has gone.

We've had a culture of Bill Kenwright since the mid 90's and will continue to have one until he leaves. You can blame Benitez, DBB, Big Kev Thelwell, Moshiri all you like but nothing will change until he moves on.
No I am saying that she has been ineffectual in respect of promoting real change at the club in the way that CEOs are supposed to do. The last CEO who tried to effect real change resigned in frustration at not being able to do his job properly in the manner he wanted to. DBB hasn't, and has stayed in the background and been a Kenwright yesperson.

In addition to that our commercial department is as bad as it's ever been, which is the CEO's responsibility. The lack of commercial income put us in a more difficult position with regard to meeting FFP requirements and this is down to her.

Of course Kenwright needs to move on - everyone knows this - but he needs to take all the people that are his appointees with him, and that includes DBB.

Simple fact is that every single member of the board and the owner are responsible and all should be held equally accountable. They are paid an extortionate amount of money to run a business professionally and successfully and almost every single aspect of their business is an absolute disaster.

They are losing 100s of millions of pounds every year, being investigated for managing the clubs finances so badly, have been in a relegation battle for 2 years, have gone through more Managers than Watford and are in perpetual crisis. The whole lot have to be cleared out and replaced. Anything less and the downward spiral continues as it has been doing for many years. There is no other way forward.

This is why we need Moshiri to sell but unfortunately he has no incentive too. Right now he has it easy, absent from Goodison, no pressure on him from the fan base, if we stay up everything is fine in his eyes.

If you are unable to do your job or you are impeded from doing your job by board/owner interference you can do three things. Fight back until you are removed, resign as CEO and stay on the board, or become the puppet and keep the title and extra money. I personally have no knowledge of what the "real" inner workings of Everton are, it is all just conjecture.

Only DBB knows how her position was impacted or interfered and at what level. Ultimately she is a member of the 5th highest paid board with the worst financial accounts in the league and part of a board no one wants attending games. They all need to share in the fallout equally, especially one who was CEO as well. She has chosen to stay on the titanic instead of distance herself from it.

I completely agree with you we bought poorly and bought too high. I don't blame her for that but factually Everton under her leadership as CEO failed to control budget and now risks point deductions and even bankruptcy if we get relegated, at least if you believe some of what has come out.

Someday I hope we all learn the truth, my guess is that it will be quite spicy.

All of what you say mate (which I agree with) is ultimately down to how the club has performed on the field in recent times - the money spent, wages paid and managerial pay offs all of which fall under the chairmans remit.

DBB has done a decent job all tings considered - our shirt sponser matches a London club with a 60k stadium that has played numerous seasons in Europe in recent seasons. Its also higher than Leicester who have won a league title, FA Cup & finished 5th twice in recent seasons.

What more can she realistically do when the clubs got no marketable star players, has no european exposure & is recently stuck in midtable / bottom 6 obscurity ?

You cant just attract top sponsers to pay us top dollar because we were once a big club 30+ years ago. Ultimately on the pitch success determines off the pitch revenues and we're lagging behind the rest.

What has she done in in the last 8 months that made you do a complete 180 on her? Only 8 months ago you wanted her "booted out" to use your words. I would argue in that time we managed to become even worse under her stewardship. Only an idiot or a wum would think she has done a good job in that time.
So what are you an idiot or a wum?
More than possible you are both.

It certainly is possible.

Almost as strong an argument as a government in power for an entire parliament or two still blaming the ills of the world on the previous administration.

The reality is that in the half a decade or more that she’s in charge, the rot has got worse than it already was. This time we are on the verge of administration. Ultimately the CEO of any company in that circumstance is culpable and as such would normally be ejected from the board.

Also I wouldn’t offer West Ham as a reliable argument in any scenario. Absolute joke shop of a club and as far as I’m aware, rent their 60k stadium.
