The Everton Board Thread

Does anybody think that in the event of us being relegated, any of the directors would dare show their faces at Goodison again?
You can be certain they intend to, whether they do or not remains to be seen. It would appear their strategy is to brazen it out and effectively hide for the remainder of the season, hope we stay up and then a barrage of Eitc and related self congratulating PR will appear over the summer easing them back in… possibly if we head back to the US east coast this summer, that would be their perceived point of weakness to an anticipated point of reappearance.

Hopefully either Moshiri grows a pair of liathroidi over the summer and punts them or a new owner/investor comes in and replacements diplomatically replace them.

It's not what he was saying just under a year ago, when he wanted her booted out.
He's just a wum and a painfully unfunny one at that.

Nah that was about 3 years ago in which since then she's overseen the single biggest construction project in the country and kept it on schedule and thus deserves credit.

Sadly too many Blues who have little nuance in their views on the club have jumped on the bandwagon of hating on DBB because she's part of "da Board" yet its funny how ya'll dont hate on Sharp/Ingles who do nowhere near the same level of work as DBB.

Bill Kenwright is the reason the club has fallen behind the rest since 1992 - you can blame any other bogeyman/woman like Moshiri, DBB, Benitez but thats the truth.

He has nothing to do with the Everton Board so he is hardly a bogeyman. Unless he eats his own snot which wouldn't be surprising given his appetite.

She hasn't and it definitely isn't.

If she's overseen the success of the stadium build then she's also helmed the ship right into financial mismanagement.

You can't have one without the other.

I cant agree - most of our financial troubles have stemmed from paying daft wages, spending large sums on players who've underperformed and sacking/paying off too many managers.

Thats ultimately on the field matters and falls at the feet of the Chairman.

If we had a Chairman worth their salt no one would mention DBB but she's verbally assaulted by association which for me is outrageous.

Kenwright is the problem !

From the thread Kevin Thelwell- New director of football Post number 1,572 August 5th 2022.
Like I said under a year ago.
@AndyC is a mod and I am sure he'll be able to verify this.
You're a wum and a very poor one.
DBB is about as much use to Everton as you are to this forum.
The sooner you are both booted out the better.

I've always admitted I didnt rate DBB once upon a time - because back then I was uneducated and ill informed on what actually goes on behind the scenes at this club.

If you believe DBB has a hand to play in our current predicament / the decline of EFC since the 90's then you're ill informed and lashing out at the wrong person (imo).

While I commend DBB for her work with the community and charities I would not be so quick to rush into giving her any credit regarding keeping construction on schedule. As someone who sits on BOD's and as senior management who operates in the heavy construction and infrastructure industry at the highest levels up to 1.3B CDN. I can assure you she has no impact on schedule and construction completion. She has an academic MBA background. She does not even have PMP cert.

When you hear someone or a board is "Overseeing" a project, that my friends is a marketing term. Board's farm out all essential work to qualified consultants who actually know what they are doing and are merely reported to on a quarterly basis. She likely would have worked on the business plan and profitability model projections to help with the financing for Mosh. As an MBA a business plan should be right in her wheelhouse even if she is only an academic. She would have nothing to do with the actual construction, supplier contracts, permitting, and scheduling, managing change orders, of the work. You will never hear or see the people who are doing the hard yards to get this thing over the the line but I guarantee you they do not sit on the board.

She is a "face" for public consumption and PR. Like the rest of the board she needs to be equally responsible for running the football portions of the club to the ground. The fact she has not addressed "headlock" gate in any meaningful fashion one way or another and has potentially allowed herself to become compliant in a blatant fabrication turning the media against the fans (the only redeeming thing about this club at the moment) should cost her any and all goodwill she has built up.

Out with the rest of them.

Personally my original posting was of the rhetorical nature.
Irrespective of how this season pans out, it would be unimaginable for them to come within a mile of the place.
For three of them I've got nothing but disdain, but for Sharp it literally is a crying shame that he'll be remembered more by Evertonians under the age of thirty as one of the hapless quartet rather than an on field legend.

Educate us then, what does she do? Other than be the victim of phantom chokeholds.

@malfosse is right to be fair, both you and Carlin are just wum/trolls and make the forum worse whenever you enter a thread.
