The Everton Board Thread

Can foresee a protest of some form if Chelsea doesn't go our way, and moreso if Burnley beat Watford on Saturday. It's not nail in the coffin at that stage, it's practically burial territory.

If we were to escape then relief trumps everything I think, and the appetite to protest is reduced.
I really don’t think it will be! One thing this season proved, is that it is the culmination of atrocious decision making starting right at the top! Poor recruitment of managers, over paying for poor players who don’t fit the previous or next managers style of play, ridiculous length contracts, I could go on and on!
I hope the fans will not, and they should not, forget the mistakes of 6 years just because we are fortunate enough to stay up!

Mate sent me this looks like it’s all BS

JUST HEARD THIS FROM MY MATE BACK HOME
just heard from a good source moshiri has agreed to sell the club to an American consortium he has had enough and d c l going to arsenal 60 mill

….forget about his role as a DoF, we know enough now to know Marcel Brands didn’t have responsibility for transfers. We know Moshiri was working directly with agents, we know Managers were bringing in their own players and moving on those they picked arguments with but perhaps Brands was the one who at least kept things together.

It would take the diplomacy of an ambassador, the political acumen of a diplomat to keep a measure of harmony in our club. He had to accept the situation, work alongside managers in accepting their targets whilst suggesting his own. In the final reckoning he’d have to back down but we know he still established decent working relationships until Benitez refused to even engage with him.

The players liked him, he was somebody they respected and could approach. He worked across the division in the Boardroom and with Moshiri’s interference. A man who had values to work around conflict, until Benitez.

Perhaps his leaving was another part of the relegation perfect storm.

I think looking at the state of where the academy is and it's lack of quality due to poor scouting, no clear plan of action for the club, a mish mash of some absolutely dreadful footballers overseen with Brands being employed and massive gaping holes in the squad means I haven't got an ounce of sympathy for him Eggs.

He's been a massive part of our failure, just as Walsh was, Koeman, Silva, Allardyce, Benitez, Ancelotti, Kenwright and Moshiri and the whole host of backroom staff who have been paid off.

I wonder if he signed a gagging order, if not, I await his autobiography with interest. Marcel Brands, 'My years with an Iranian Nutcase'

I for one hope the board get pelted with dog poo bags upon their next visit. Preferably, after this show of embarrassment for them all, they disappear and never return to the club ever again.

Hope this is true and the new owner works along side Bill for the benefit of the club.

Mate, I applaud your consistency, but there is one man on the board that has been there since we last won a trophy.

He also tells us we’ve had good times.

Any serious new owner would be kicking his arse down the street. He’s a failure.
TBF what i meant with works along side Bill, it was more with the Chairmen for the benefit of the club if you know what i mean, whoever that is.
Im actually starting to think Kenwright will take a step back in the summer, if these Americans are serious they will want there own man, Moshiri was never a serious owner, thats half the problem

Fair point, I understand where you are coming from.

I just think that if we do get a hard nosed owner they would bring in their own people, which most people hoped Moshiri would do. If a business has failed, the new owners usually get rid of the deadwood.
