The Everton Board Thread

Must admit, what I've read so far for both MSP/777 I do worry if it's a bit "out of the frying pan..."
It's becoming increasingly clear that Usmanov owned and operated the club, Moshiri is most likely nothing more than a puppet and doesn't have the money to sustain us. Not only do we need to get rid of them as soon as possible before any dodgy dealings are uncovered we also desperately need new actual money coming in to finance us, especially if we are to go down.

Actually I just looked at the table. They won last night and 8 points clear of the drop now. I'm not really sure but maybe they've had a wobble and are getting back on track now
They started the season abysmally but have gone on a winning run mate - third manager of the season did the trick.

Think it’s still underestimated how dodgy the Moshiri-Usmanov relationship and I think we’re probably lucky that no one’s fully exposed it. I’ve said for a good while now that we need to get them both out of the club as soon as possible.

Just read another athletic article from 2021 about 777 and Sevilla. I get the impression they want to modernise and globalise, a bit like what Ryasantsev apparently wanted to do. Whether they are any good is another question I guess

Also worth mentioning that they don't seem to be calling the shots at Sevilla, so the managerial churn doesn't seem to be down to them

Not sure it got much air play in Everton media - but there was Uk Government report in recent weeks showing close ties with sanctioned oligarchs and UK (influenced) companies - one highlighted was Bridgewater in the IOM, whom are also involved with Blue Heaven holdings (Moshiri holding company that controls his Everton shares) - they acted on Moshiris behalf in buying Everton and Blue Heaven Holdings has the same address as Bridgewater - the holding company were Moshiri keeps his Everton shares.

We are playing with fire and no mistake.

Exactly, and I do wonder if the fact Kenwright and DBB keep clinging on is their knowledge and acceptance of the arrangement and / or the fact no one credible would come in and replace them while the arrangement stays in place.

We need the lot of them gone.

Make no mistake, we’ve left the frying pan and are fully in the fire already. There are literally warnings in the accounts that we might not survive as a going concern if we go down. It doesn’t get much worse than what we have.

We know what these are after: a profit. They’ll at least pursue it competently, unlike the current guy, if that was even his motivation at all. I don’t think we even fully understand what motivates Moshiri and his pal, and it’s probably best we don’t. The sooner they are out of this club the better.

As long as they get rid of the current charlatans masquerading as a chairman/ Board that would be a start.

It's Moshiri's decision entirely who he sells to and how much of the club he wishes to sell. He will expect to maximise his return/minimise his losses, so whatever the fanbase wishes for isn't going to be taken into account.

We just have to cross our fingers and hope he makes the right decision on this. Whatever he does, it surely can't be as bad as Kenwright's decision to sell to a man who was bankrolled by a Putin oligarch in the first place.

I suspect the reality may be that - the business looses £100 mill + every year - no one can fund that and write those loss propping cheques bar this ownership, equally the stadium, i mean we are £300 mill deep into that - lets be honest here - where do we think that money came from?

As for Bill and DBB, they are perfect, the lightening rods for ire - the distraction - the patsies - they may suit the above just brilliantly.

The interesting thing may be the level of collusion going on, the Government dont seem to want to step in and obstruct the obvious despite their own evidence, as money and investment is going toward developing and regenerating an area in one of its key Citys.

There are games within games here - but we are playing with fire.

Or his alleged previous effort in de facto selling the club to the appalling Philip Green & Robert Earle via a shady offshore fund.

Green used to boast how he owned Everton when he had a few at dinner parties, apparently.

Yeah I think there’s something to this. Kenwright and DBB have shown themselves not up to it and should be gone but having everything focus on them conveniently takes the heat off the guy(s) pulling the strings. Ultimately the guy with 95% of the shares is responsible for 95% of the problem. Everyone else serves at his / their discretion.
